Transmissive metasurface lens integration
Metasurface elements, integrated systems incorporating such metasurface elements with light sources and/or detectors, and methods of the manufacture and operation of such optical arrangements and integrated systems are provided. Systems and methods for integrating transmissive metasurfaces with other semiconductor devices or additional metasurface elements, and more particularly to the integration of such metasurfaces with substrates, illumination sources and sensors are also provided. The metasurface elements provided may be used to shape output light from an illumination source or collect light reflected from a scene to form two unique patterns using the polarization of light. In such embodiments, shaped-emission and collection may be combined into a single co-designed probing and sensing optical system.
Light source device, direct diode laser system, and optical coupling device
A light source device includes an optical fiber; a beam light source configured to coaxially combine laser beams of different peak wavelengths to generate and emit a wavelength-combined beam; and an optical coupling device configured to allow the wavelength-combined beam emitted from the beam light source to be incident on the optical fiber. The optical coupling device includes a first cylindrical lens configured to focus the wavelength-combined beam in a first plane and having a first focal length, a second cylindrical lens configured to focus the wavelength-combined beam in a second plane and having a second focal length, and a third cylindrical lens having a third focal length greater than the first focal length and configured to focus the wavelength-combined beam in the first plane to be incident on the first cylindrical lens.
SPLIT-FIELD OPTICS FOR IMAGING AND RANGING
An imaging apparatus has one or more lenses with a common optical axis and that define an image plane. A splitting optic is disposed to split the light along the optical axis to provide, at the image plane, at least a first copy of an image at a first magnification and a second copy of the image at a second magnification different from the first magnification.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GENERATING DEPTH MAPS USING A CAMERA ARRAYS INCORPORATING MONOCHROME AND COLOR CAMERAS
A camera array, an imaging device and/or a method for capturing image that employ a plurality of imagers fabricated on a substrate is provided. Each imager includes a plurality of pixels. The plurality of imagers include a first imager having a first imaging characteristics and a second imager having a second imaging characteristics. The images generated by the plurality of imagers are processed to obtain an enhanced image compared to images captured by the imagers. Each imager may be associated with an optical element fabricated using a wafer level optics (WLO) technology.
NEAR-EYE OPTICAL SYSTEM IMPLEMENTING A WAVEGUIDE WITH AN OUTPUT VIEWER ELEMENT HAVING A REFRACTIVE BEAM-SPLITTING CONVEX LENS
An optical combiner including a waveguide prism configured to convey display light, from a display panel, from a proximal end of the waveguide prism to a distal end of the waveguide prism via total internal reflection. The optical combiner also includes an outcoupling interface positioned at the distal end of the waveguide prism on a surface of the waveguide prism that faces a user's eye. The outcoupling interface includes a plurality of polarization-dependent layers including a refractive beam-splitting convex lens to fold the light path of the display light and reduce the dimensions of a near-eye optical system implementing the optical combiner.
OPTICAL MODULE AND LASER SYSTEM
The invention discloses an optical module and a laser system, and relates to the technical field of optics. The optical module comprises a first light emitting assembly, a second light emitting assembly, and a homogenizing lens group arranged on the light emitting sides of the first light emitting assembly and the second light emitting assembly; Light beams emitted by the first light emitting assembly and the second light emitting assembly are respectively and vertically incident on the light incident side of the homogenizing lens group, and the homogenizing lens group homogenizes and emits the light beams incident by the first light emitting assembly and the second light emitting assembly to form light spots. The optical module and the laser system are small and compact in structure, and can realize diversified forms of output light spots, so that the optical module and the laser system can meet different requirements.
3-DIMENSIONAL SHAPING APPARATUS
A 3-dimensional shaping apparatus manufactures a 3-dimensional shaped object. The 3-dimensional shaping apparatus includes a beam irradiation unit, a spatial light modulator, a splitting optical system, and a scanning unit. The beam irradiation unit emits a light beam. The spatial light modulator spatially modulates the light beam emitted by the beam irradiation unit at least on the first axis. The splitting optical system includes at least one lens array having a plurality of lenses arranged along the first axis and splits the light beam modulated by the spatial light modulator into a plurality of light beams by the lens array. The scanning unit scans the shaping material with the plurality of light beams from the splitting optical system.
Spectrally combined fiber laser amplifier system and method
A method for providing spectral beam combining (SBC) including generating a plurality seed beams each having a central wavelength and a low fill factor profile, where the wavelength of all of the seed beams is different; amplifying the seed beams; causing the amplified beams to expand as they propagate so as to be converted from the low fill factor profile to a high fill factor profile where the high fill factor profile tapers to a lower value at a perimeter of each beam; causing a wavefront of the converted beams to flatten to provide a plurality of adjacent SBC beams having different wavelengths with minimal overlap and a minimal gap between the beams; collimating the SBC beams; and directing the collimated SBC beams onto an SBC element that spatially diffracts the individual beam wavelengths and directing the beams in the same direction as a combined output beam.

A scanner for scanning a dental site comprises a base, a detector mounted to the base, and an optical element to redirect light reflected off of the dental site towards the detector along a detection axis in a first direction. Two or more flexures couple the optical element to the base, wherein the two or more flexures maintain an alignment of the optical element to the detector with changes in temperature.

The application provides an augmented reality display device comprising a projection source module (10) and an optical path module, wherein the projection source module (10) comprises a projection source (12), the projection source (12) has a curved light outgoing surface (12a), virtual image light (VL) is projected out of the projection source (12) via the curved light outgoing surface (12a), and the optical path module comprises a beamsplitter (20) and a reflector (60), wherein the virtual image light (VL) projected out of the projection source module (10) is incident on the beamsplitter (20), reflected by the beamsplitter (20) onto the reflector (60), reflected by the reflector (60), and then transmitted through the beamsplitter (20), entering a human eye (E) eventually. The application also provides a wearable augmented reality system comprising the augmented reality display device and a projection source module for the augmented reality display device.
