Optical Arrangement for Spectral Decomposition of Light
An optical arrangement for spectral decomposition of light is disclosed. In an embodiment the optical arrangement includes a reflection diffraction grating, a first medium with a refractive index n.sub.in arranged on a light incidence side of the reflection diffraction grating; and a second medium with a refractive index n.sub.G arranged on a side of the reflection diffraction grating that faces away from the light incidence side, with n.sub.in>n.sub.G, wherein the optical arrangement is configured in such a way that light impinges on the reflection diffraction grating from the first medium at an angle of incidence α, wherein a condition sin(α)>n.sub.G/n.sub.in is satisfied, wherein the reflection diffraction grating comprises a layer system with at least one unstructured layer and at least one structured layer, wherein the at least one structured layer has a periodic structure with a period p in lateral direction, and wherein the period p meets the following conditions: p<λ/[n.sub.in*sin(α)+n.sub.G] and p>λ/[n.sub.in*sin(α)+n.sub.in].
Spectral feature control apparatus
A spectral feature selection apparatus includes a dispersive optical element arranged to interact with a pulsed light beam; three or more refractive optical elements arranged in a path of the pulsed light beam between the dispersive optical element and a pulsed optical source; and one or more actuation systems, each actuation system associated with a refractive optical element and configured to rotate the associated refractive optical element to thereby adjust a spectral feature of the pulsed light beam. At least one of the actuation systems is a rapid actuation system that includes a rapid actuator configured to rotate its associated refractive optical element about a rotation axis. The rapid actuator includes a rotary stepper motor having a rotation shaft that rotates about a shaft axis that is parallel with the rotation axis of the associated refractive optical element.
IMAGE DISPLAY METHOD AND IMAGE DISPLAY APPARATUS
This application provides an image display method and an image display apparatus, and is beneficial to improving uniformity of an image displayed by using a diffractive waveguide, thereby improving user experience. The method is applied to an apparatus including an optical engine and the diffractive waveguide and includes: obtaining uniformity data of a first image obtained by using the diffractive waveguide; determining to-be-compensated data of the optical engine based on the uniformity data; adjusting luminance distribution of a light source in the optical engine based on the to-be-compensated data; and displaying a second image by using the adjusted optical engine and the diffractive waveguide.
WAVEGUIDE ARCHITECTURE BASED ON DIFFRACTIVE OPTICAL ELEMENTS FOR AUGMENTED REALITY DISPLAYS WITH A WIDE FIELD OF VIEW
The disclosure relates to augmented reality devices, namely to near-field displays, to planar waveguides with diffractive optical elements and displays based on such planar waveguides. The architecture of diffractive optical elements, performed in a waveguide and a method for operating the architecture of diffractive optical elements, eliminating image dispersion and expanding the horizontal field of view are provided. The method for operating the architecture of diffractive optical elements, expanding the vertical field of view and a device for displaying an augmented reality containing the proposed architecture of diffractive optical elements are provided. The augmented reality glasses includes the proposed augmented reality display device.
LIGHT IRRADIATION APPARATUS
A light irradiation apparatus that splits white light into light rays of a plurality of wavelengths to apply the light ray includes a white light source, a diffraction grating that splits white light emitted by the white light source into light rays of a plurality of wavelengths, and a light selector that selects a light ray of a specified wavelength from the light rays of the plurality of wavelengths split by the diffraction grating.
Diffraction grating comprising double-materials structures
A diffraction grating includes a plurality of grating unit cells positioned in a periodic array on a substrate surface. In cross-section, a grating unit cell includes a homogeneous dielectric host medium with a first refractive index n.sub.1, embedding at least a first block of a first dielectric material with a second refractive index n.sub.2, a side edge of which is in direct contact with at least a second block of a second dielectric material with a third refractive index n.sub.3. Both the first block and the second block have a trapezoidal cross-section. The plurality of grating unit cells provides a non-symmetrical response for positive first diffraction order and negative first diffraction order based on nanojet hot spot positions, the nanojets being generated at edges between dielectric materials with different refractive indexes.
LASER MODULE, LASER OSCILLATOR AND LASER PROCESSING SYSTEM
A laser module includes: a laser diode bar including a plurality of emitters configured to emit laser light from a front surface and leak light from a rear surface; a housing including a reflecting surface configured to surround a space together with the laser diode bar and reflect, toward the space, light leaked from the rear surface, in a scattering manner; and a detector configured to detect light reflected by the reflecting surface. A laser module includes: a laser diode bar including a plurality of emitters configured to emit laser light from a front surface and leak light from a rear surface; a condenser lens on which light leaked from rear surfaces of all of the plurality of emitters impinges; and a detector configured to detect light transmitted through the condenser lens.
SPECTRAL FEATURE CONTROL APPARATUS
A spectral feature selection apparatus includes a dispersive optical element arranged to interact with a pulsed light beam; three or more refractive optical elements arranged in a path of the pulsed light beam between the dispersive optical element and a pulsed optical source; and one or more actuation systems, each actuation system associated with a refractive optical element and configured to rotate the associated refractive optical element to thereby adjust a spectral feature of the pulsed light beam. At least one of the actuation systems is a rapid actuation system that includes a rapid actuator configured to rotate its associated refractive optical element about a rotation axis. Optical cross-coupling mitigation systems for wavelength beam combining laser systems
In various embodiments, wavelength beam combining laser systems incorporate optical cross-coupling mitigation systems and/or engineered partially reflective output couplers in order to reduce or substantially eliminate unwanted back-reflection of stray light.
Arrays of integrated analytical devices
Arrays of integrated analytical devices and their methods for production are provided. The arrays are useful in the analysis of highly multiplexed optical reactions in large numbers at high densities, including biochemical reactions, such as nucleic acid sequencing reactions. The devices allow the highly sensitive discrimination of optical signals using features such as spectra, amplitude, and time resolution, or combinations thereof. The devices include an integrated diffractive beam shaping element that provides for the spatial separation of light emitted from the optical reactions.
