The lens structure 14 has a view position configuration 36 and a views configuration 38. The view position configuration 36 and the views configuration 38 of the lens structure 14 are able to transmit light, that is received from the view position input sources 32 as corresponding lens structure inputs 34, as views 39 grouped in viewing positions 40.
OPTICAL SWITCH DEVICES
A security device includes an array of lenses and a plurality of first and second segments disposed under the array of lenses. At a first viewing angle, the array of lenses presents a first image for viewing without presenting the second image for viewing, and at a second viewing angle different from the first viewing angle, the array of lenses presents for viewing the second image without presenting the first image for viewing. At least one first or second segment can include one or more microstructures or one or more nanostructures configured to produce one or more colors for the first or second image.
AUTOSTEREOSCOPIC DISPLAY DEVICE
An autostereoscopic display comprises a pixelated display panel comprising an array of single color pixels or an array of sub-pixels of different colors and a view forming arrangement comprising an array of lens elements. The pixels form a square (or near square) grid, and the lenses also repeat in a square (or near square) grid. A vector p is defined which relates to a mapping between the pixel grid and the lens grid. Regions in the two dimension space for this vector p are identified which give good or poor banding performance, and the better banding performance regions are selected.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL (3D) ELECTRONIC DISPLAY
Three-dimensional (3D) electronic displays provide different 3D views and employ one or both of an array of multibeam diffraction gratings arranged in offset rows and light valves having color filters. The displays include a plate light guide configured to guide light beams at a non-zero propagation angle, a multibeam diffraction grating configured to couple out a portion of the guided light beams as a plurality of light beams having different principal angular directions representing the different 3D views, and light valves configured to modulate the differently directed, coupled-out light beams. The multibeam diffraction grating may be a member of the array arranged in offset rows and the display may further include light valves having color filters. Alternately, the light valves include color filters and the display may further include the array of multibeam diffraction gratings arranged in offset rows.
Light field image projection method
A direct projection light field display comprising an array of projectors for direct projection of a light field. The overall design and incorporation of additional optics achieve the optimal light distribution and small pixel size to produce a high definition, 3D display. The architecture of the direct projection light field display has low a brightness requirement for each projector, resulting in an increased projector density, decreased system, and a decreased power requirement, while producing a high-definition light field.
FIELD SEQUENTIAL DISPLAY
A field sequential display comprises: a multi-viewpoint 3D display screen, comprising a plurality of composite pixels, wherein each composite pixel in the plurality of composite pixels comprises a plurality of pixels corresponding to a plurality of viewpoints of the field sequential display; a light source device, comprising a plurality of monochromatic light sources; a light source time sequence controller, configured to control turn-on time and turn-off time of the plurality of monochromatic light sources; and a 3D processing device, which is in communication connection with the light source time sequence controller and the multi-viewpoint 3D display screen, and is configured to enable the light source time sequence controller to switch and turn on at least part of monochromatic light sources in the plurality of monochromatic light sources in a time sequence manner, so as to render corresponding pixels in each composite pixel in the multi-viewpoint 3D display screen.
Moiré image processing device
A moiré image processing device is provided, including a light-transmitting film, a light sensor, and an image processor. The light-transmitting film includes a plurality of microlenses, and a light-incident surface and a light-exit surface, where the microlenses are disposed on the light-incident surface, the light-exit surface, or a combination thereof according to a distribution pattern. The light sensor includes a photosensitive surface, where the photosensitive surface faces the light-exit surface, there are a plurality of pixels on the photosensitive surface, and the pixels sense the microlenses to obtain a photosensitive image corresponding to the distribution pattern. The image processor is coupled to the light sensor, where the image processor performs, according to a virtual image and the photosensitive image, image processing of simulating a moiré effect to generate a moiré image, where the virtual image corresponds to the distribution pattern and is similar to the photosensitive image.
