A head-up display apparatus is disclosed. The head-up display apparatus according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a display panel; a stereoscopic image filter; and a mirror. The display panel includes a first region in which a first image is displayed and a second region in which a second image is displayed, and the stereoscopic image filter is configured to convert the first image into a stereoscopic image. In an embodiment of the present invention, the first image displayed on the display panel is warped and displayed, thereby preventing distortion of the stereoscopic image when projected on a windshield.

HEAD-UP DISPLAY, HEAD-UP DISPLAY SYSTEM, AND MOVABLE BODY
20230005399 · 2023-01-05 ·

A head-up display includes a display panel, a reflective optical element, a controller, and an obtainer. The display panel displays a first image. The reflective optical element reflects image light from the first image displayed by the display panel. The controller controls a position at which the first image is displayed on the display panel. The obtainer obtains, as positional information, a position of an eye of a user. The controller changes the position at which the first image is displayed on the display panel in accordance with the positional information.

A head-up display system includes a first projection module that projects a first image to display the first image in a forward direction not directly facing a user, a second projection module that projects a second image to display the second image in a forward direction directly facing the user, and a reflective optical element that reflects at least a part of the first image and at least a part of the second image.

METHOD AND ARRANGEMENT FOR INFLUENCING LIGHT PROPAGATION DIRECTIONS
20230028201 · 2023-01-26 ·

A method for influencing light propagation directions of a plurality of illuminated surfaces, comprising: arranging switchable absorbers on the light-exit side of the surfaces, such that light only exits through portions of the surfaces which are in front of the surfaces; switching on the absorbers for a first operating state so that a portion of the light emanating from the surfaces is absorbed, while the rest of the light exits at the surface portions of the light-exit side of the surface substrates at which no switchable absorbers are applied, resulting in light only being visible from a limited viewing angle which is defined by the shape of the switchable absorber, the shape of the surface, refractive index conditions in, and thickness of, the substrates of the surfaces; and switching off the absorbers for a second operating state so that light from the surfaces is visible from an unrestricted viewing angle.
