The photonic crystal of the embodiment of the present disclosure includes first dielectric layers and second dielectric layers having different refractive indexes, and the first dielectric layers and the second dielectric layers are alternately stacked. A thickness and a refractive index of each of the first dielectric layers and a thickness and a refractive index of each of the second dielectric layers are configured such that the photonic crystal blocks blue light with a wavelength of 420 nm to 470 nm incident into the photonic crystal from passing through the photonic crystal.
Systems and methods for an absorbance detector with optical reference
Systems and methods are provided for a UV-VIS spectrophotometer, such as a UV-VIS detector unit included in a high-performance liquid chromatography system. In one example, a system for the UV-VIS detector unit may include a first light source, a signal detector, a flow path positioned intermediate the first light source and the signal detector, a second light source, and a reference detector. The first light source, the signal detector, and the flow path may be aligned along a first axis, and the second light source and the reference detector may be aligned along a second axis, different than the first axis.
Anti-reflective sputtering stack with low Rv and low Ruv
The present invention provides a UV antireflective coating stack for ophthalmic lenses. The antireflective coating stack is deposited by sputtering, which lowers the reflectivity of the antireflective stack in the UV range and maintains low reflectivity in the visible range. The antireflective coating stack offers improved thermo-mechanical performance as compared to evaporation-based UV antireflective stacks.
