A series of interconnected (directly or indirectly), coupled lighting panels is provided, the coupled lighting panels linked to one another such that various shapes and designs can be created using various arrangements of the coupled lighting panels, the lighting panels of some embodiments adapted to avoid dark spots proximate to lighting circuitry disposed therein. The lighting panels can be luminaires, and may be provided in various geometric shapes, having various dimensionalities (e.g., a flat 2 dimensional shape, or a 3 dimensional shape). Various control systems, connectors, housings, frames, and lighting systems are also described.
AERIAL DISPLAY APPARATUS
An aerial display apparatus includes: a light source unit that emits light; a display device that transmits the light from the light source unit to display an image; a light control device that transmits the light from the display device to emit the light such that light intensity of the light has a peak in a direction oblique to a normal direction that is perpendicular to a first direction within a principal plane of the display device; and a mirror device that reflects the light from the light control device to display an image in air on a side opposite to the light control device. The mirror device includes a plurality of optical elements each having a hexahedron shape. Each of the plurality of optical elements includes first and second reflection surfaces that reflect light. Each of the first and second reflection surfaces is placed obliquely to the normal direction.
Modular waveguides and fixtures utilizing same
According to an aspect of the present disclosure, a luminaire comprises a housing and at least one waveguide comprising first and second opposite waveguide ends, a coupling portion disposed at the first waveguide end, and a light emitting portion disposed between the first and second waveguide ends. The luminaire is further arranged such that the first waveguide end is disposed adjacent a first luminaire end and the second waveguide end is disposed at a second luminaire end opposite the first luminaire end. Still further, the luminaire comprises at least one LED element disposed within the housing adjacent the coupling portion of the at least one waveguide such that the at least one waveguide provides a first illumination pattern and the at least one waveguide is interchangeable with another waveguide that provides a second illumination pattern.
Atmospheric greenhouse gas removal
A material (such as potassium hydroxide or ammonia) capable of reacting with ambient carbon dioxide to produce fertilizer is placed in the path of ambient air movement. Desirably the material is associated with a fabric which in turn is associated with a vane of a vertical axis wind turbine, the turbine performing useful work as well as supporting the material which produces a fertilizer. A misting system controlled by a controller may automatically apply a water mist to the material if the humidity is below a predetermined level. The fabric with produced nitrogen and/or potassium fertilizer may be placed directly into contact with soil, or shredded first, or burned to produce energy and an ash (and the ash applied to the soil). The wind turbine may have a convenient, versatile mounting system with three adjustable legs supporting a central component, and the spokes of the wind turbine may be slotted for easy assembly with vanes.
Nitrogen-containing cyclic compound and color-changing film comprising same
Nitrogen-containing cyclic compounds for color conversion film, and a color conversion film, a backlight unit and a display apparatus including the compound(s).
OPTICAL WAVEGUIDE
An optical waveguide, including a first structural layer, a second structural layer, a first light-guiding element, and multiple second light-guiding elements, is provided. The light-guiding elements are a partially penetrating and partially reflective layer. Multiple first sub-beams in an image beam are transmitted in the first or the second structural layer by a coupling inclined surface. Each first sub-beam forms multiple second sub-beams after being transmitted by the first or the second light-guiding elements. Some of the second sub-beams are coupled out of the optical waveguide by the second light-guiding elements, thereby enabling the image beam to expand in a first direction. For a portion of the visible light waveband, a trend of transmittance of the partially penetrating and partially reflective layer changing as a wavelength increases is opposite to a trend of transmittance of the first structural layer or the second structural layer changing as the wavelength increases.
DISPLAY DEVICE, DOCUMENT READING DEVICE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A display device includes a non-translucent cover, a light source provided inside the cover, and a translucent light display that is transmissive to light from the light source. The light display has a protrusion disposed in a through opening of the cover. The protrusion fitted into the through opening from the inside spans a first side surface and a second side surface of the cover, and protrudes outward from the outer surface of the cover to form a light guide. The light guide has a smaller thickness in a corner portion corresponding to a connection region between the first side surface and the second side surface than in other portions thereof.
OPTICAL ELEMENT, VEHICLE LAMP MODULE, VEHICLE LAMP, AND VEHICLE
An optical element, comprising a light guide body. The light guide body comprises a plurality of light-incident parts arranged along a length extension direction of the light guide body, a light guide part and a light-emitting part; each light-incident part is provided with at least one light-incident unit; the light guide part is configured to guide light received by each light-incident unit to be emitted toward the light-emitting part; the shape of a forward projection plane of the light-emitting part is of a strip shape. The optical element can reduce the occupied space and improve the space utilization rate, facilitates reducing positioning mounting errors, has an appearance with a narrow and elongated shape, and can be applied in vehicle lamp modules, vehicle lamps and vehicles.
