Cable sealing device
In a first embodiment, cable sealing device is described herein for use in a port structure of fiber terminal, telecommunication enclosure, or a bulkhead. The exemplary cable sealing device comprises a unibody construction comprising a rigid body portion, the rigid portion having a generally tubular shape that includes an interior passageway extend from a first end to a second end of the rigid body portion; and an elastomeric body portion over molded onto and extending from an end of the rigid body portion, the elastomeric body portion comprises a front end having an interior sleeve that extends into interior passageway at the second end of rigid body portion and an exterior sealing sleeve that is formed over the second end of rigid body portion, and a closed end disposed opposite the open end, wherein the closed end includes a removable portion.
Optical fiber distribution system
A cabinet unit for use in an optical fiber distribution system may include a housing having a cavity, a plurality of extension portions contained within the housing, each extension portion being adapted to support an adapter for receiving cables aligned lengthwise with the extension portion, and a support structure formed on an inner surface of the housing, each extension portion being mounted to the housing by the support structure and extends away from the inner surface of the housing. The plurality of extension portions may be hingedly coupled to the support structure. A clearance between two adjacent extension portions of a given support bar may be configured to be adjusted by rotating the adjacent extension portions along their respective hinged connections.
CABLE TERMINATION UNITS FOR OPTICAL FIBER DISTRIBUTION ELEMENTS
A cable fixation structure for fixing at least a portion of a fiber optic cable to a telecommunications fixture against strain relief includes a base portion configured to be mounted to the telecommunications fixture and a removable cable holder portion that is slidably inserted into the base portion, wherein the cable holder portion is configured for fixing the at least a portion of the fiber optic cable.
CABLE FIXATION ASSEMBLY WITH STRENGTH MEMBER ANCHOR ADAPTER
Devices, assemblies and methods for fixing telecommunications cables. The cable fixation assemblies include cable support bodies adapted to anchor yarn strength members. A rod strength member adapter can be coupled to the cable support body to anchor a rod strength member such that the same cable support body is adapted to fix both a cable having a yarn strength member and a cable having a rod strength member.
Multiports and other devices having optical connection ports with securing features and methods of making the same
Devices such as multiports comprising connection ports with associated securing features and methods for making the same are disclosed. In one embodiment, the device comprises a shell, at least one connection port, and at least one securing feature. The at least one connection port is disposed on the multiport with the at least one connection port comprising an optical connector opening extending from an outer surface of the multiport to a cavity of the multiport and defining a connection port passageway. The at least one securing feature is associated with the connection port passageway, and is biased by a resilient member.

A clearance between two adjacent extension portions of a given support bar may be configured to be adjusted by rotating the adjacent extension portions along their respective hinged connections.
PREFABRICATED CABLE
This application discloses a prefabricated cable, and relates to the field of communication technologies. In one example, the prefabricated cable includes an optical cable, an optical fiber connector, a traction member, and a branch cable fastener. The optical cable sequentially includes an insertion section, an optical cable connection section, and an optical cable extension section. The optical fiber connector is connected to an end of the insertion section. The traction member includes a traction section and a traction member connection section. The traction member connection section is connected to the optical cable connection section through the branch cable fastener. The insertion section and the traction section extend in a same direction.
ENCLOSURE FOR USE IN A FIBER OPTIC DISTRIBUTION NETWORK
The present disclosure relates to a re-enterable enclosure for a fiber optic network. The enclosure can include features such as a low compression-force perimeter gasket, cable seals constructed to seal effectively seal triple points, multi-function port size reducer plugs and multi-function blind plugs.
