DEVICE FOR FIXING COMPONENT PARTS OF FRAMES FOR SPECTACLES AND SPECTACLES INCLUDING THE FIXING DEVICE

A device for mutually fixing component parts of a frame for spectacles includes a first fixing element which is connectable by a sliding coupling inside a second fixing element and locking means, active between the first and second fixing elements, transversely to the coupling direction. The first fixing element includes at least a first seat which slidingly receives a respective first magnet, the second fixing element includes a second magnet and a second seat. The second seat configured to receive, with reduced connection play, a portion of the first magnet when it is moved, with partial extraction from the first seat, by the magnetic attraction force between the first and second magnets produced by mutual positioning of the first and second magnets with opposite magnetic polarities so that the first magnet, by engaging the first seat and the second seat, prevents relative movement between the first and second fixing elements.

Hardware architecture for modularized eyewear systems, apparatuses, and methods

Systems, apparatuses, and methods are taught that provide reconfigurable components for eyewear devices. A reconfigurable component for use in an eyewear device includes an embedded electronics system. The embedded electronics system is configured for wireless communication and for processing sensor signals. The embedded electronics system is embedded into a component of the eyewear device. A plurality of sensors is embedded into one or more of the reconfigurable component and the eyewear device. The plurality is in electrical communication with the embedded electronics system. The embedded electronic system further includes a processor. The processor is configured to receive outputs from the plurality of sensors and to determine a system control parameter from an output of at least one sensor of the plurality of sensors.

REMOVABLY ATTACHABLE TOP FRAME FOR EYEWEAR

An eyeglass system includes interchangeable anterior aesthetics. The system includes a base frame, including a front face with a left lens orbital carrying a left lens and a right lens orbital carrying a right lens, and left and right earstems attached to the front frame. A decorative top frame includes a left annular mask with an unobstructed left opening and a right annular mask with an unobstructed right opening, configured to cover the left and right orbitals, respectively, while exposing the left and right lenses through the left and right openings. The top frame is releasably connectable to the base frame. The system may include a plurality of visually distinct top frames, each interchangeably removably connectable to a common base frame.

MAGNETIC ATTRACTION TYPE LENS-REPLACEABLE EYEGLASSES

A magnetic attraction type lens-replaceable eyeglasses, comprising a frame and lenses. A connector for fixedly connecting the lenses to the frame is disposed at a bridge of the frame. The connector is detachably connected to the frame. The connector and the frame are in magnetic attraction cooperation. Fixing pins capable of penetrating through the lenses and used for limiting the swing of the lenses are disposed on the side, in contact with the lenses, of the connector. By using the detachable connector, the lenses are fixed to the frame. By means of magnetic attraction cooperation, the lenses can be relatively easy to replace. Meanwhile, by using a design of positioning pins, it can be ensured that the lenses mounted on the frame will not swing or shift.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING A PRESCRIPTION FOR AN EYE OF A PERSON

Disclosed is an eyewear including: a frame headwear configured to be worn by a user, the frame headwear including a front part, and at least one lens holder, each lens holder being configured to be removably fastened to the frame headwear in a predetermined mounted position and each lens holder including an associated pair of ophthalmic lenses attached to the lens holder, each lens of the associated pair of ophthalmic lenses being configured to be movable relative to the lens holder while being attached to the lens holder.

WEARABLE DEVICE AND METHOD FOR REMOTE OPTICAL MONITORING OF INTRAOCULAR PRESSURE

Systems and methods are described for determining an intraocular pressure (IOP) of an eye using a contact lens with a magnet placed on the cornea of the eye. A magnetic field is exerted on the magnet of the contact lens, and the magnet is displaced by the magnetic field. The system of the present disclosure determines the deflection of the cornea based on the magnetic displacement of the magnet and determines the IOP of the eye.

Safety glasses have two magnets located near temple arm hinges so that surfaces of both magnets become coplanar when the temple arm pieces close. The magnets provide two separated areas of coupling that allow the safety glasses to adhere to a surface and stay in place when jarring forces are present. The safety glasses can be stored on magnetically active surfaces or other surfaces with adaptive tabs and may be kept close to where they will be used and in a visible location as a safety reminder or safe location to protect the safety glasses.
