A process for mounting an elastic hinge on eyeglass frames, for coupling a first pivot element, which comprises an elastic carriage provided with a head portion having a first hole, with a second pivot element comprising two shoulders provided with second holes. The head portion of the first pivot element comprises a tilted slide surface adjacent to the first hole. The process envisages to insert the head portion in a slit between the shoulders of the second pivot element to place in succession their holes offset from each other, and then engaging a hinge pin in the holes, so that the free end of the hinge pin acts in abutment against the slide surface of the head portion, in order to force the carriage to slide until the first hole of the first pivot element is aligned with the second holes of the second pivot element.

Method for the assembly of elastic hinges on an eyeglass frame, wherein each elastic hinge has a first and a second articulation elements hinged around a hinging axis. The method provides for a first step of inserting the first articulation element in a first seat of a temple and, subsequently, a second step of inserting the second articulation element in a second seat of an end piece of the eyeglasses. In the first insertion step, the second articulation element is placed perpendicular to the first articulation element with the hinging axis placed at a first distance from the temple. Before the second insertion step, a tensioning step is provided in which the second articulation element is rotated up to being arranged parallel to the first articulation element, bringing the hinging axis to a second distance from the temple that is greater than the first distance.

Spectacle frame with temple orientation according to a plurality of planes

A spectacle frame includes a front face and temples connected thereto by hinges. Each hinge includes a hollow attachment member, respectively rigidly connected to the front face and to the temples, and each receives a hinging member having its free end provided with a hinge pin, such that the hinge pins are perpendicular to each other. The attachment members define a cylindrical sheath. The hinging members each include a rod, intended to be received in the respective sheath, one of the ends of the rod being provided with an abutment and the other end being provided with the hinge pin, each of the rods receiving a sliding ring submitted to the action of a spring bearing against the abutment, the ring being rigidly connected to the corresponding attachment member near its free end. The hinge pins of the hinging members are rigidly connected to each other by a connection member.

Elastic hinge for eyeglass frames, which comprises an articulation screw engaged in the holes of two articulation elements. The articulation screw comprises a shank provided with a narrow portion, which is engaged in the hole of a first tab of an articulation element, and with an enlarged annular portion, which forms a step and is engaged in the hole of a head portion of the other articulation element. The articulation screw assumes an end stop position, in which it is tightened and aligned with the hinging axis, and a blocking position, in which it is loosened and is tilted with respect to the hinging axis in response to the elastic force exerted by an elastic device, such that the step of the articulation screw interferes with the edge of the hole of the first tab of the articulation element, preventing a further unscrewing of the articulation screw.
