CONTACT LENS PRODUCT
20230004022 · 2023-01-05 ·

A contact lens product includes a multifocal contact lens and a buffer solution. The multifocal contact lens includes a central region and at least one annular region. The annular region concentrically surrounds the central region. A diopter of the annular region is different from a diopter of the central region. The multifocal contact lens is immersed in the buffer solution, and the buffer solution includes a cycloplegic agent.

MYOPIA-CONTROL CONTACT LENSES AND METHODS RELATING THERETO

An ophthalmic lens (112′, 200) for use in preventing or slowing the development or progression of myopia comprises an optic zone (202) for focusing light from distant point objects to a focal surface. The optic zone comprises a diffractive lens (206) for manipulating the longitudinal chromatic aberration properties of the light proximate the focal surface.

Optimizing a spectacle lens taking account of a vision model

A computer-implemented method for calculating or assessing a spectacles lens for an eye of a spectacles wearer. The method includes (a) providing an association of at least one imaging property or aberration of a spectacle lens system with the vision of the spectacles wearer, or of an average spectacles wearer, when observing an object through the spectacles lens system; (b) determining or prescribing a target function for the spectacles lens to be calculated or assessed, in which the association from step (a) is to be evaluated; and (c) calculating or assessing the spectacles lens to be calculated or assessed by evaluating the target function, wherein the target function is evaluated at least once.

Myopia progression treatment

A ophthalmic lens for inhibiting progression of myopia includes a central zone and an annular zone. The annular zone includes subsurface optical elements formed via laser-induced changes in refractive index of a material forming the annular zone. The subsurface optical elements are configured to modify distribution of light to the peripheral retina of a user so as to inhibit progression of myopia.

METHOD AND APPARATUS OPTIMIZING SPECTACLE LENSES FOR WEARERS OF IMPLANTED INTRAOCULAR LENSES

Optimizing a spectacle lens for a wearer of implanted intraocular lenses. The method includes providing individual refraction data on the at least one eye of the spectacle wearer; defining an individual eye model in which at least a shape and/or power of a cornea, in particular a corneal front surface, of a model eye, a cornea-lens distance, parameters of the lens of the model eye, and a lens-retina distance are defined as parameters of the individual eye model. Here, defining the parameters of the individual eye model takes place on the basis of data on visual acuity correction of the at least one eye having the intraocular lens and further on the basis of individual measurement values for the eye of the spectacle wearer and/or standard values and/or on the basis of the provided individual refraction data such that the model eye has the provided individual refraction data.

Apparatuses, systems and methods for providing improved ophthalmic lenses, particularly intraocular lenses (IOLs), include features for reducing dysphotopsia effects, such as haloes and glare. Exemplary ophthalmic lenses can include an optic having a central region disposed about an optical axis and a peripheral region extending outward from the central region, with a diffractive achromat positioned on the peripheral region, and the central region lacking an achromat, and a base power for distance of the central region being the same as a base power for distance of the peripheral region.

Vision correction with laser refractive index changes

Methods and systems wherein laser induced refractive index changes by focused femtosecond laser pulses in optical polymeric materials or optical tissues is performed to address various types of vision correction.

Customized wavefront-guided methods, systems, and devices to correct higher-order aberration

Methods and systems for manufacturing a wavefront-guided scleral lens prosthetic device customized for an eye of a patient include obtaining a first scleral lens prosthetic device with a central optic zone configured to vault over the eye's cornea and a peripheral haptic zone configured to align with the eye's sclera, collecting measurements of any offset and/or rotation of the first scleral lens prosthetic device relative to the eye's pupil and of any aberrations, particularly higher-order aberrations, generating a wavefront-guided profile from the measurements, and fabricating a second scleral lens prosthetic device with the profile on a surface of a central optic zone configured to vault over the eye's cornea and a peripheral haptic zone customized to align with the eye's sclera.

ASPHERICAL LENS DESIGN WITH POWER DEPENDENT SPHERICAL ABERRATION

Described herein are soft contact lens sets and methods of designing soft contact lens sets based on incorporating different levels of spherical aberration into the lens design depending on the target spherical power. The different levels of spherical aberration are equal to or less than zero D/mm.sup.2, and account for clinically measured population-average ocular spherical aberration, manufacturing variations and generalized accommodative ability.
