APPARATUS THAT IMPROVES VISION
An apparatus includes a frame, a left temple, a right temple, a left end piece, a right end piece, a left hinge, and a right hinge. The frame includes a left side and a right side, and the frame may support a lens. The apparatus frame that improves vision may be tilted to supply the lenses at varying angles and lock into place via a latching mechanism. The effect of the tilted lens provides significantly increased clarity and definition of vision, with no expensive custom lenses or magnification.
Ultra thin folding glasses and storage device
Embodiments of thin eyeglasses are provided. The eyeglasses comprise first and second lens connected by a resilient bridge. The eyeglasses comprise a first and second ear piece connected to the first and second lens by a first and second hinge. One lens can be rotated about the hinge and over the other lens to place the eyeglasses in a compact configuration.
Eyewear having deployable auxiliary devices
Eyewear having one or more electronic devices stowable and deployable from storage cavities disposed in one or both temple arms of the eyewear are described. The devices are deployable through passages in the eyewear frame which are covered when the devices are in the stowed position. Devices may be changed either by removing and replacing a device or by removing and replacing a temple arm on a particular set of eyewear.
Smart Head-Mounted Device, Accommodating Box, and Smart Head-Mounted Device Assembly
A smart head-mounted device includes a first sub-eyepiece, a second sub-eyepiece, and a nose bridge. The first sub-eyepiece includes a first eyepiece frame and a first temple, and the first eyepiece frame has a first connecting portion; the second sub-eyepiece includes a second eyepiece frame and a second temple, and the second eyepiece frame has a second connecting portion; the nose bridge has a third connecting portion and a fourth connecting portion; and the first eyepiece frame is detachably connected to the nose bridge via the first connecting portion and the third connecting portion, and the second eyepiece frame is detachably connected to the nose bridge via the second connecting portion and the fourth connecting portion.
Eyewear waveguide with reflector
Eyewear including a frame, a projector supported by the frame, and a lens supported by the frame. The lens has a first surface facing an eye of the user and a second surface facing away from the eye of the user when the frame is worn. The lens also includes a waveguide defined by the first and second surfaces to receive light from the projector. An input light coupler and an output light coupler are on the first surface of the lens and at least one reflector is positioned on a second surface of the lens to redirect light received from the input coupler and/or the output coupler to redirect light having an angle of incidence with respect to the second surface of the lens that would result in that portion of the light exiting the waveguide through the second surface in the absence of the at least one reflector.
FOLDABLE GLASSES WITH MAGNIFIER
Pairs of foldable glasses are provided. The pair of foldable glasses includes two lenses surrounded by a frame, the two lenses having a first side and a second side, the first side facing outwards and the second side facing the wearer, a hinged bridge for connecting the lenses together and permitting the lenses to fold together, and two temple pieces extending from an outer edge of the frame with a hinged connection between each of the temple pieces and the outer edge of the frame enabling the two temple pieces to fold inwards or forwards, wherein the two temple pieces have a hinged joint permitting a rear section of the temple pieces to fold forwards underneath the temple pieces, wherein the rear sections each include a loop configured to enable the pair of foldable glasses to be secured to a separate device.
Extendable eyeglasses and method of use
An eyeglass apparatus comprises first and second eyeglass portions, each having a connector portion and a lens portion. The eyeglass apparatus is configured to transition between stowed and extended configurations. When the eyeglass apparatus is in the stowed configuration, the lens portions overlie one another. When the eyeglass apparatus is in the extended configuration, the lens portions are in a non-overlying configuration.
Foldable eyeglasses and case
An eyewear system including eyeglasses and a case, the eyeglasses having a first lens, a second lens, and a bendable bridge disposed between the first lens and second lens, the bendable bridge having a spring providing a spring force when the bridge is bent from a rest position, the eyeglasses being adapted to move from a wearable configuration in which the first and second lens do not overlap to a stored configuration in which the first and second lenses at least partially overlap, the bendable bridge being bent from its rest position in the stored configuration, the case having an opening through which the eyeglasses pass during insertion and guides sized and configured with respect to the eyeglasses to engage and fold the eyeglasses against spring force of the bridge to the stored configuration during insertion of the eyeglasses through the opening and into the case.
Magnetically locking reversible eyewear and method of reversing orientation of same
Reversible orientation eyewear for which each of the temple arms moves from an initial orientation relative to the lens frame to a reverse orientation relative to the lens frame by undergoing movements that include rotating a locking piece from the one of the two relative positions to the remainder of the two relative positions and thereby becoming free of magnetic attraction by the magnetically attractive elements; pivoting the temple arms about associated ones of the two ends of the lens frame; and rotating the locking piece from the remainder of the two relative positions to the one of the relative positions to restore magnetic attraction by the magnetically attractive elements.
