Spectacles comprising auricular devices
Spectacles including auricular devices are described. The spectacles include a structure having a front frame for supporting respective lenses, and a pair of arms articulated to the front frame on laterally opposite sides, each of the arms extending longitudinally between a first end that is articulated to the front frame and a second, opposite end, close to which an end arm portion can make contact with the head at the ear. Each arm extends from the second end into an arm portion that is made of flexible material and bears an element for supporting an auricular device, and the arm portion can move, on account of its flexibility, between an operating position in which the support element is worn at the ear to allow the auricular device to be positioned, and a non-operating position in which the support element is removably held on the end arm portion.
METHOD FOR COVERING A PRIMARY ELEMENT FOR OPTICAL SPECTACLES WITH PRIMARY MEMBERS MOULDED FROM CORK PARTICLES
A method for purifying powdered silicon carbide is in the form of a starting material to form a silicon carbide having a purity of at least 99.9%. This method has the following method steps: providing a starting material having a grain size of less than 100 μm and a silicon carbide content with at least 98% purity; and heating the starting material in a vacuum or oxygen-free atmosphere to a temperature above 1700° C. over a period of at least 8 minutes.
Structural fiber component for injection molding in head mounted displays
A set of augmented reality (AR) or virtual reality (VR) glasses are disclosed. The glasses comprise a fiber reinforced structure. The fiber reinforced structure includes a continuous fiber component. The fiber reinforced structure also includes a thermoplastic material injection molded over the continuous fiber component, wherein the thermoplastic material surrounds the continuous fiber component. The glasses also comprise electronics that are coupled to the fiber reinforced structure, wherein the electronics are configured to facilitate presentment of imagery onto a lens of the glasses.

MONOCOQUE SMART GLASSES TEMPLE PRE-FORM
A method for making smart glasses includes obtaining a temple pre-form made as a one-piece seamless shell structure with shell walls enclosing a hollow compartment. An opening at one end of the one-piece seamless shell structure provides physical access to insides of the hollow compartment. The method further includes disposing one or more smart glasses components in the hollow compartment through the opening in the shell structure, and attaching the temple pre-form with the one or more smart glasses components disposed in the hollow compartment to a frame of the smart glasses.
Sheet for manufacturing articles, particularly glasses and the like, and associated manufacturing process
A sheet for manufacturing articles, particularly frames for glasses and the like, including at least one technical layer made of a thermoplastic material interposed between a first aesthetic layer and a second aesthetic layer, both made of a material such as fabric. A method for producing a sheet for manufacturing articles includes the steps of providing at least one technical layer made of a material such as thermoplastic polymers and at least two aesthetic layers made of a material such as fabric and associating the technical layer with the aesthetic layers. The layers are mutually compressed and then heated to obtain the sheet.

HEAT PIPE HAVING A PREDETERMINED TORQUE RESISTANCE
Technologies provide a heat pipe having a controlled torque resistance. The techniques disclosed herein provide a heat pipe that can function as a coupling device and as a thermal interface between two moving components of a device without the need of a mechanical hinge. In some configurations, a heat pipe comprises a housing having an outer surface and having an inner surface defining a cavity. The heat pipe can also comprise one or more components for transferring heat from a first region to a second region. In addition, the heat pipe is configured to provide a predetermined torque resistance about a first axis that is perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the heat pipe. Components, such as a heat source and a heat sink, that are attached to the heat pipe can be hingeably coupled with a predetermined torque resistance without requiring a hinge and a separate thermal interface device.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A SPECTACLE ARM
A method produces a spectacle arm that has an arm body (1) made of plastics material and a metal support inlay (3), in which method the arm body (1) is manufactured additively with a receiving recess for the support inlay (3) and then the support inlay (3) is introduced into the receiving recess of the arm body (1). The arm body (1) is manufactured additively with a longitudinal groove (2) as the receiving recess, which extends at least along a portion of the arm body, and the longitudinal groove (2) with the introduced support inlay (3) is injected with plastics material.
