PROCESS FOR ASSEMBLING AN ELASTIC HINGE FOR EYEGLASS FRAMES, AND ELASTIC HINGE FOR EYEGLASS FRAMES
Process for assembling an elastic hinge for eyeglass frames comprising a first articulation provided with a head with a first hole, a second articulation having two shoulders provided with second holes, and a pin having a stem provided with a thinned final portion. The process provides for inserting the head of the first articulation between the two shoulders of the second articulation with the first hole of the first articulation non-aligned with respect to the second holes of the second articulation, an opening thus remaining between such holes. A step for inserting the pin is provided, during which the thinned portion of the pin is wedged in the aforesaid opening between the holes and is screwed into one of the second holes of the shoulders of the second articulation.
TEMPLE MEMBER FOR A SPECTACLE FRAME, AND SPECTACLES INCLUDING SUCH TEMPLE MEMBERS AND SPECTACLE FRAME
A temple intended to be mounted, by a mounting face, in hinged connection, to a spectacle frame, so as to be able to pivot between one and the other of two stable positions called folded position and unfolded position, respectively.
In particular, the temple comprises, from its proximal end toward a distal end, a first section and a second section. The first section is provided with a first face opposite the mounting face). The second section is in a ball joint with the first section. The first face and the second face are also of complementary shapes so as to allow the fitting of one into the other.
Interchangeable Hinge for Modular Eyewear
A wearable lightweight, adjustable, and comfortable modular eyewear with multiple interchangeable components includes: a central frame with two eyeglass supporting members, lenses, temple and hinge. The assembly has a hinge which is designed to fit the frames. The fronts and temples are grooved to allow the hinge to fit snuggly into the grooves. The hinge is flexible that it will allow the temples to flex 180+ degrees.
MOISTURE-RESISTANT EYE WEAR
Embodiments may provide a first device that comprises eyeglasses, where the eyeglasses may further include a lens housing, a first temple and a second temple coupled to the lens housing, and a first and a second lens supported by the lens housing. The first device may further include a façade that covers the lens housing. The first device may further comprise an electronic component and at least one conductive path may be provided from the electronic component to the first lens having a portion that runs through the lens housing.
Assembly for eyeglasses temple
An assembly for eyeglasses temple includes a first connecting rod and a second connecting rod each having an elastic component, outer ends of the two elastic components are hooked to each other to cause the second connecting rod and the first connecting rod abut against each other. A protrusion is provided on an end portion of the second connecting rod, when the second connecting rod is rotated to a position perpendicular to the first connecting rod, the protrusion is inserted in and limited by an outer peripheral side surface of an end portion of the first connecting rod.
EYEGLASS FRAME WITH REPLACEABLE TEMPLES
Eyeglasses with replaceable temples, and exemplary mechanisms to attach a frame-connected portion to a replaceable temple portion, are presented. An eyeglass frame can be attached to a hinged metal piece. The hinged metal piece can have a front solid portion and a rear bezel, including a spring and mesa portion. The spring and mesa portion can include a resilient spring material and an upwardly protruding mesa, and can be inserted into a cavity in a temple piece, and locked into place. By providing numerous temple pieces having essentially the same cavity dimensions, the eyeglasses can be used with an assortment of interchangeable temple pieces, which can be changed at will, effectively giving a wearer many looks and styles from the same basic frame, with the same lenses.
HINGE DEVICE FOR CONNECTING THE SIDES TO THE FRONTS OF SPECTACLE FRAMES, AND SPECTACLES INCLUDING THIS DEVICE
What is described is a hinge device for connecting the sides (2) to the fronts of spectacle frames (4), comprising a first and a second hinge element (6, 7) pivoting about a hinge axis (X), the first element (6) comprising a substantially fork-shaped body (8) with a first and a second arm (9, 10) opposed to one another, between which the second hinge element (7) is interposed, and a screw means (16) forming a hinge pin, passing through respective holes formed coaxially in the first and the second hinge element (6, 7), so as to be, respectively, locked by a screw engagement in the first hinge element (6) and housed rotatably in the second hinge element (7). The device further comprises at least a first anti-seizing sleeve (18) provided in the hole (13) of the second hinge element (7) and capable of being engaged by the hinge screw (16) in a rotatable coupling, the sleeve (18) comprising at least a first surface (20) extending in a contact area and capable of relative sliding between the hinge elements(6, 7), at least one ring (22) of elastically flexible material, fitted on the hinge screw (16) and capable of being deformed elastically as a result of the tightening of the screw so as to exert a relative pressure between the first and the second hinge element (6, 7), thereby increasing the friction provided between the hinge elements, and at least one bush (23) mounted in a seat of the first hinge element (6), coaxially with the hinge screw (16), and capable of accommodating the ring (22), the bush (23) including at one of its axial ends a bearing shoulder (24) for the ring (22), and being capable of making contact with the first surface of the anti-seizing sleeve (18), so that the bush (23) is biased axially against the sleeve (18) by the elastic action generated by the friction ring (22) as a result of the tightening of the hinge screw (16).
Temple assembly for spectacles and spectacles
A temple assembly for a pair of spectacles, including a spectacle temple body, a guide member, a first temple core, a second temple core, a first pivot; and a second pivot; the second temple core is elastically connected with the spectacle temple body, the guide member is sleeved on a periphery of the first temple core, and the first temple core includes a first connecting end and a second connecting end disposed opposite to each other, the second connecting end is pivotally connected to the second temple core via the second pivot, the first connecting end is pivotally connected to a pile head of a rim or an end hinge of a spectacle temple via the first pivot; the first pivot and the second pivot are disposed perpendicular to each other; and the guide member is elastically abutted the spectacle temple body.
Device for coupling a temple to an eyeglass frame
Eyewear device includes an eyeglass frame, a temple, and a coupling device for hingedly coupling the temple to the eyeglass frame, formed of an elastically deformable material, and including a single flexible arm of an elongate shape and a front end portion positioned and retained against the front surface of the eyeglass frame. The single flexible arm extends from the front end portion into a slot in the frame and an internal elongate slot in the temple positioned in opposing alignment therewith. The elasticity of the coupling device flexibly, hingedly couples the temple to the eyeglass frame and allows a temple that has suffered inordinate bending moments and directions to instantly return to nominal use by retightening or replacing the coupling device, and/or by repositioning the temple to properly abut the eyeglass frame.
Multiple degree of freedom hinge systems and eyewear devices comprising such hinge systems
A multiple degree of freedom hinge system is provided, which is particularly well adapted for eyewear, such as spatial computing headsets. In the context of such spatial computing headsets having an optics assembly supported by opposing temple arms, the hinge system provides protection against over-extension of the temple arms or extreme deflections that may otherwise arise from undesirable torsional loading of the temple arms. The hinge systems also allow the temple arms to splay outwardly to enable proper fit and enhanced user comfort.
