A technology concerning a pair of spectacle lenses for binocular vision. In each of the pair of spectacle lenses for binocular vision, when an inner horizontal direction of each of the spectacle lenses is a direction toward the nose of a user who wears the spectacle lenses, and an outer horizontal direction of the spectacle lenses is a direction toward an ear of the user, a portion for viewing an object at finite distance is provided in each of the pair of spectacle lenses for binocular vision and a shape of a base in prism is formed in the position such that a line of sight of a user viewing an object through the portion is directed to a direction that is different from a direction from the object.

Ophthalmic multifocal diffractive lens

An ophthalmic multifocal lens, and a method of manufacturing same, at least comprising focal points for near, intermediate and far vision. The lens comprises a light transmissive lens body providing a refractive focal point, and a periodic light transmissive diffraction grating, extending concentrically over at least part of a surface of the lens body and providing a set of diffractive focal points. The diffraction grating is designed to operate as an optical wave splitter, the refractive focal point providing the focal point for intermediate vision and the diffractive focal points providing the focal points for near and far vision. The diffraction grating has an optical transfer function comprising a continuous periodic phase profile function having an argument modulated as a function of the radial distance (r) to the optical axis of the lens body, thereby tuning the light distribution in the focal points.

An ophthalmic contact lens configured to treat color vision deficiency is presented herein. The contact lens includes a tinted region containing either or both of a first dye that is configured to absorb at least 50% of incident light in a spectral band between 480 nanometers to 500 nanometers and a second dye that is configured to absorb at least 50% of incident light in a spectral band between 550 nanometers to 580 nanometers. A method of manufacturing such a contact lens and a process of forming an ophthalmic contact lens by an additive manufacturing process is also presented.

INTRAOCULAR LENS AND METHODS FOR OPTIMIZATION OF DEPTH OF FOCUS AND THE IMAGE QUALITY IN THE PERIPHERY OF THE VISUAL FIELD

Intraocular lens and methods for optimization of depth of focus and the image quality in the periphery of the visual field. The intraocular lens (600) comprises a central part and a peripheral part, the central part being the optical part (600) and the peripheral part comprising mechanical fasteners (603), and the central part comprises: an aspherical concave anterior surface (601), which is the surface closest to the iris of the eye once the lens (600) has been implanted in the eye, and an aspherical convex posterior surface (602), which is the surface closest to the retina of the eye once the lens (600) has been implanted in the eye, such that the radius of curvature of the posterior surface (602) of the central part is smaller than the radius of curvature of the anterior surface (601) of the central part, with a ratio between radii of between 2 and 6, and the mechanical fasteners (603) are arranged at an angle (605) of between 0° and 10° with respect to a plane passing through the joints between the central part and the peripheral part and which is perpendicular to the optical axis of the eye in which the lens (600) is intended to be implanted.
