GEOMETRIC PHASE OPTICAL ELEMENT AND THREE-DIMENSIONAL DISPLAY APPARATUS INCLUDING THE SAME
A geometric phase optical element and a three-dimensional display apparatus including the same are provided. The geometric phase optical element includes: a liquid crystal layer; a first electrode on a surface of the liquid crystal layer; and a second electrode on another surface of the liquid crystal layer, wherein, when no voltage is applied to the first and second electrodes, the liquid crystal layer is configured such that a phase difference according to an arrangement of the liquid crystal is π and light transmitted through the liquid crystal layer is diffracted by a first deflection angle, and when a first voltage that causes the phase difference according to the arrangement of the liquid crystal to become π/2 is applied to the first and second electrodes, the liquid crystal layer is configured such that the light transmitted through the liquid crystal layer is diffracted by a second deflection angle.
Light-concentrating device, light-concentrating display screen, and mobile electric product
A light-concentrating device, a light-concentrating display screen, and an electric product are provided. The light-concentrating device includes a light-concentrating plate. The light-concentrating plate includes dimming units, each dimming unit including a house, the house being filled with first light-transmissive liquid and second light-transmissive liquid insoluble with each other. Light may be refracted when passing through the interface between the first light-transmissive liquid and the second light-transmissive liquid. Adjustment electrodes are provided on sides of the house, and a common electrode layer is provided at an end of the house. The voltages may be applied between the common electrode layer and the adjustment electrodes on the sides of the house.

According to one embodiment, a display device includes an illumination device, a display panel modulating light from the illumination device and emitting image light, a polarized light modulation element transmitting the image light from the display panel and diffusing external light, and a magnification mirror magnifying an image by the image light transmitted through the polarized light modulation element. The polarized light modulation element is a liquid crystal lens including a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer held between the first substrate and the second substrate, and a first control electrode and a second control electrode applying voltage to the liquid crystal layer.

A liquid crystal lens includes a first substrate and a second substrate opposite to each other, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The first substrate includes a first base substrate, a plurality of first electrodes, and a first alignment layer, wherein two adjacent first electrodes of the plurality of first electrodes are insulated from each other, an orthographic projection of each of the plurality of first electrodes on a first surface is an axisymmetric pattern and a centrosymmetric pattern, and center points of the orthographic projections of the plurality of first electrodes on the first surface are in coincidence with each other. The second substrate includes a second base substrate, a plurality of second electrodes, and a second alignment layer, wherein an orientation of the first alignment layer and an orientation of the second alignment layer are perpendicular to each other.
Diffractive optical element and display device
The invention relates to a diffractive optical element which comprises a first substrate and a second substrate, between which a liquid crystal layer is provided. The diffractive optical element also has strip-shaped electrodes on the first substrate and strip-shaped electrodes on the second substrate. The electrodes on the first substrate are arranged at an angle of greater than 50° relative to the electrodes on the second substrate. Furthermore, the electrodes on the first substrate and the electrodes on the second substrate are controllable in such a way that a defined out-of-plane field can be produced in a respective overlapping area of the electrodes on the first substrate with the electrodes on the second substrate. The diffractive optical element can be used in a display device for displaying preferably three-dimensional scenes.
DYNAMIC LIGHTING DEVICE WITH CONTROLLED COLOR TEMPERATURE
A variable angle beam control device is capable of maintaining the same color temperature of the light source regardless of the changes in the angle of the beam. The controllable light beam device has a light source with primary optics producing a low divergence light beam having an inverted angular distribution of the correlated color temperature (CCT), and a liquid crystal device with an electrically variable refractive index distribution arranged to receive said light beam and to provide a variable angle beam.

An object of the present invention is to provide a light deflection device having a simple structure suitable for reducing the size and weight where a deflection angle can be increased. The object can be achieved with a light deflection device including: a light deflection element that deflects incident light in one direct to be emitted; a driving unit that drives the light deflection element; and a diffraction element that is disposed on a light emission side of the light deflection element in which a periodic structure pitch gradually changes from a center of deflection from the light deflection element toward an outside.

The system and method includes generating a second beam pattern by transmitting the first set and the second set of the plurality of optical beams through an optical element, wherein the second beam pattern adjusts the trajectory to cause the portion to contact the surface of the optical lens.
