METAL PLATE DESIGN FOR ELECTRONIC DISPLAY PANELS
A method of assembling a display panel includes laminating a back plate to a display layer to form an untrimmed display panel, the back plate including a metal layer that includes a trimming path defined by one or more line segments having reduced metal content compared to other portions of the metal layer. The method further includes trimming the untrimmed display panel along the one or more line segments to define one or more edges of the display panel. For one or more locations along each of the one or more edges defined by the line segments, the metal layer is flush with the corresponding edge of the display panel.
DISPLAY DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME
A display device includes: a display panel including a first area, a bending area, and a second area arranged along a first direction, the second area being located underneath the first area when the bending area is bent; and a spacer between the first area and the second area, and including: a first part; and a second part protruding from the first part in the first direction. Opposite sides of the second part in a second direction that crosses the first direction define steps that are stepped from the first part, and the steps are located at an outside of the second area in a plan view.
PLASTIC SUBSTRATE AND DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME
Disclosed is a plastic substrate, which includes a plastic film, a metal layer, and a resin layer having a conductive material dispersed therein and which is useful as a lower substrate of a transmissive electronic paper display device or a display device.
DISPLAY DEVICE
A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate having a pixel electrode and a common electrode provided thereon; a second substrate formed of a resin material; a liquid crystal layer provided between the first substrate and the second substrate; an optical film facing the liquid crystal layer with the second substrate being provided between the optical film and the liquid crystal layer; and a conductive layer facing the second substrate; wherein the optical film is provided between the conductive layer and the second substrate.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a first electronic device unit. The first electronic device unit includes a first substrate and a second substrate disposed opposite to the first substrate. The first substrate includes a protruding part which protrudes outward a boundary of the second substrate along a protruding direction perpendicular to a normal direction of the first substrate. The protruding part includes a first side surface having a portion that has been grinded and a portion that has been ungrinded, and a surface roughness of the portion that has been grinded is different from a surface roughness of the portion that has been ungrinded.
RESIN COMPOSITION AND DISPLAY UNIT
A display unit that includes an image display part and a light-transmitting protective part arranged on the image display part. A cured resin layer is arranged between the display part and the protective part. The cured resin layer can have a transmittance of 90% or higher in the visible range and a storage modulus at 25° C. of 1×10.sup.7 Pa or less. The cured resin layer can be formed from a resin composition that has a cure shrinkage of 5% or less.
Tiled display device
Provided is a tiled display device including a plurality of display devices each having a display panel including a plurality of pixels and a support plate disposed under the display panel, a lower cover including an alignment hole and coupled to a lower portion of the support plate of each of the plurality of display devices, and a first coupling member including a base portion fixed to the support plate and a first coupling portion protruding from the base portion and passing through the alignment hole. A diameter of the first coupling portion is smaller than a diameter of the alignment hole.
Seals for electrochromic windows
Embodiments herein relate to methods and apparatus for preventing and mitigating the ingress of moisture into an interior region of an IGU. Various techniques are disclosed including, for example, the use of a strain relief structure around wires passing through a secondary seal, improved materials for coating the wires, and additional/improved layers for bonding the secondary seal to tape provided around a spacer.
DISPLAY DEVICE
A display device including a display panel; a frame at a rear of the display panel; a plurality of light sources disposed on the frame and providing light for the display panel; and a reflective sheet disposed on the frame and reflecting light from the plurality of light sources toward the display panel. Further, the frame includes a flat portion on which the plurality of light sources is disposed; an inclined portion extended from the flat portion toward an edge of the display panel; and a protrusion protruding from the flat portion of the frame toward the display panel between the plurality of light sources, in which the protrusion of the frame passes through the reflective sheet.
Light control unit
A light control unit including a light control sheet including a first transparent electrode layer, a second transparent electrode layer, and a light control layer formed between the first and second transparent electrode layers and including a liquid crystal composition, and at least one first connection member that connects the first transparent electrode layer and a power supply. The light control sheet includes a light control region where the light control layer is located and at least one first region contiguous to the light control region in a plan view of the light control sheet. The first connection member includes a first wiring member connected to a first conductive adhesive layer formed on the light control sheet in the first region. The first wiring member includes a wiring layer that has a conductive patterned end portion where the wiring layer makes contact with the first conductive adhesive layer.
