Display apparatus
A display apparatus includes a liquid crystal panel, a light source configured to provide light to the liquid crystal panel, and an optical member disposed between the liquid crystal panel and the light source. The optical member includes a diffuser sheet that is configured to diffuse the light from the light source, and a deformation preventing layer including a first material having a lower expansion or contraction rate than the diffuser sheet.
GLASS SUBSTRATE AND DISPLAY DEVICE COMPRISING THE SAME
Disclosed herein are methods for making a thin film device and/or for reducing warp in a thin film device, the methods comprising applying at least one metal film to a convex surface of a glass substrate, wherein the glass substrate is substantially dome-shaped. Other methods disclosed include methods of determining the concavity of a glass sheet. The method includes determining the orientation of the concavity and measuring a magnitude of the edge lift of the sheet when the sheet is supported by a flat surface and acted upon by gravity. Thin film devices made according to these methods and display devices comprising such thin film devices are also disclosed herein.
DISPLAY DEVICE
A display device including a display panel; a light source providing light to the display panel; a diffuser plate located between the display panel and the light source; and a guide including a side part covering a side surface of the diffuser plate, and a protruding inner part for seating the diffuser plate. Further, a lower side of one of the diffuser plate or the side part of the guide includes a protrusion portion and a lower side of the other one of the diffuser plate and the side part of the guide includes a groove portion engaging the protrusion portion, and outer portions of the lower side of the diffuser plate directly contact corresponding outer portions of the side part of the guide, while a gap exists between the protrusion portion and the groove portion.
LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY APPARATUS
A liquid crystal display apparatus includes: a display panel having a display region and a peripheral region; a front cover; a first buffer member; a panel holder; and a second buffer member. The peripheral region includes four corner portions and four central portions. At least one buffer member of the first buffer member and the second buffer member includes a plurality of cushion members and at least one resin sheet. The at least one buffer member does not include a cushion member formed of a resin between the four corner portions and the front cover or between the four corner portions and the panel holder.
Display panel comprising a first sealing layer covering a color filter and a second sealing layer covering a color control layer and a step compensating layer
A display panel includes a first substrate which includes a display device and a second substrate which is disposed on the first substrate. The second substrate covers a base layer, a color filter layer, a first sealing layer, a color control layer, a step compensating layer, and a second sealing layer. The base layer includes a display area and a non-display area adjacent to the display area. The color filter layer overlaps the display area in a plan view, and is disposed under the base layer. The first sealing layer covers the color filter layer. The color control layer overlaps the display area in the plan view, and is disposed under the first sealing layer. The step compensating layer overlaps the non-display area in the plan view, and is disposed under the base layer. The second sealing layer covers the color control layer and the step compensating layer.
Backlight assembly with frame having plurality of positioning grooves on rim
A backlight assembly includes a first sub-optical film with first edge portions, and a supporting frame including a first supporting portion which includes rims. At least one rim includes a first positioning groove and second positioning grooves, the first edge portion includes a first positioning portion in the first positioning groove and second positioning portions in the second positioning grooves; a difference between sizes of the first positioning groove and the first positioning portion is a first space, a difference between a size of each second positioning groove and that of the second positioning portion is a second space greater than the first space; the first edge portions include a first sub-edge portion, the first positioning portion is located at a midpoint of the first sub-edge portion, and the second positioning portions are distributed on both sides of the first positioning portion.
Polarizing plate having specified ratio of polarizing film shrinkage force to protective film shrinkage force
The present application relates to a polarizing plate having a polarizing film in which a light absorption axis is formed in one in-plane direction; a protective film formed on one side of the polarizing film; and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer formed on the other side of the polarizing film, where the total thickness is 200 μm or less, and a ratio of (S.sub.Pro/S.sub.PVA) of a shrinkage force (S.sub.PVA) of the polarizing film in the in-plane direction parallel to the light absorption axis direction and a shrinkage force (S.sub.Pro) of the protective film in the in-plane direction perpendicular to the light absorption axis direction is in a range of 0.1 to 5. The present application can provide a polarizing plate which does not cause cracks or the like while having a thin thickness, does not induce warping or twisting in itself and does not induce the above problems even when applied to a display device such as an LCD or OLED.
ELECTRO-OPTICAL DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC APPARATUS
An electro-optical device includes a first substrate, a second substrate bonded to the first substrate, a liquid crystal layer provided between the first substrate and the second substrate, a third substrate provided on an opposite side of the first substrate from the liquid crystal layer, and a frame configured to house the first substrate, the second substrate, and the third substrate. The frame includes a facing surface facing, via an adhesive layer, a first surface on an opposite side of the third substrate from the liquid crystal layer. The third substrate is larger than the first substrate. The frame and only the third substrate among the first substrate, the second substrate, and the third substrate are bonded to each other.
Display device
According to one embodiment, a display device includes a first substrate including a first resin substrate having a first thermal expansion coefficient, and a first barrier layer having a second thermal expansion coefficient which is lower than the first thermal expansion coefficient, a second substrate including a second resin substrate having a third thermal expansion coefficient which is equal to the first thermal expansion coefficient, and a second barrier layer having a fourth thermal expansion coefficient which is lower than the third thermal expansion coefficient and is equal to the first thermal expansion coefficient, and a display element located between the first resin substrate and the second resin substrate.
Display device
This display device comprises: a display panel; a module cover positioned on the rear surface of the display panel; an adhesive member coupling the module cover and the display panel; a substrate plate covering a first region on the rear surface of the module cover; and a control unit coupled to the rear surface of the substrate plate and controlling the display panel, wherein the substrate plate includes a contacting part that is in contact with the module cover, and a spacing part that is spaced apart from the module cover and forms an air gap between the substrate plate and the module cover. The thickness of the module panel and the number of components can be reduced, such that the manufacturing cost of the display device and the weight of the product can be reduced.
