A method and device are provided for positioning a mounted camera. The device includes a holding element that secures the mounted camera to the device, a wireless linkage at which remote attitude commands representing attitude changes of a remote driver are received, a local controller that interprets the remote attitude commands and generates local attitude commands that move the camera to mimic an orientation of the remote driver, and an attitude sensing element that senses a local attitude of the device. The attitude sensing element includes a gyro, an accelerometer, or a magnetometer, and jitter present in the remote attitude commands is removed and not passed on to the local attitude commands.

MECHANICAL SHOCK RESISTANT MOTORIZED DRIVE ASSEMBLY

An electronic device can include a motor that rotates a shaft that is coupled to a gear. A belt or a chain can be placed in contract with the gear and other rotational devices. For optimum performance, the chain or chain should be adjusted to an optimum tension. The tension can be adjusted by moving the motor and securing the motor in a position the provided the optimum tension. Alternatively, the motor can be in a fixed rigid position and an idler pulley in contact with the belt or chain can be positioned to provide the optimum tension.

OPTICAL SYSTEM, ELECTRONIC DEVICE, AND DISPLAY APPARATUS

A surveillance camera includes a housing containing a camera module, an optical reflection component, and a first driving component. The camera module has a fixed position and is disposed opposite to a reflective surface of the optical reflection component, which is disposed in a transparent portion of the housing. The reflective surface is positioned at an angle with respect to the input axis of the camera module to reflect light received through the transparent housing portion to the camera module. The camera module captures an image by detecting the light reflected to it by the reflective surface. The first driving component drives the optical reflection component to rotate the reflective surface around the input axis of the camera module, such that the camera module captures images carried by light from different directions through the transparent portion of the housing without rotation of the camera module itself.

TURNTABLE

A turntable comprising a hub assembly including a first hub and a second hub rotatable with respect to the first hub about an axis, and an extension member releasably coupled to the second hub. The extension member rotates with the second hub about the axis when the extension member is coupled to the second hub. The extension member extends from the second hub radially outward from the axis.

OPTICAL IMAGING SYSTEM WITH ENCAPSULATION AND TETHER

A tethered imaging camera encapsulated in a shell lens element of such camera enables viewing from inside and imaging of a biological organ in/from a variety of directions. A portion of camera's optical system together with light source(s) and optical detector mutually cooperated by housing structure inside the shell are moveable/re-orientable within the shell to vary a desired view of the object space without interruption of imaging process. A tether carries electrical but not optical signals to and from the camera and controllable traction cords to move the camera, and a hand-control unit and/or electronic circuitry configured to operate the camera and power its movements. Method(s) of using optical, optoelectronic, and optoelectromechanical sub-systems of the camera.

Microscope and method for generating an image pieced together from a plurality of individual microscope images

The present invention initially relates to a method for generating an image of a sample, said image being pieced together from a plurality of individual microscope images. A microscope is provided, for which a measurement value of a twist angle (δ) present between an image recording unit of the microscope and an object stage of the microscope and a measurement accuracy of this measurement value are known. There is a recording of a first individual microscope image of the sample using the microscope and a displacement of the image recording unit and the sample-supporting object stage relative to one another, whereupon a second individual microscope image (02) of the sample is recorded using the microscope. A search region is determined in the second or first individual microscope image, an overlap region between the individual microscope images being expected in said search region.
