A developing device, including a casing and a seal member is provided. The casing includes a divider wall, dividing a space inside the casing into a container chamber and a developing chamber, and a developing roller. The divider wall includes an opening. The container chamber accommodates a developing agent. The seal member is configured to seal the opening. The seal member includes a ventilation section configured to allow air to pass there-through but restrict the developing agent from passing there-through at least at a part of an area that seals the opening.

A powder storage device includes a container housing and a powder storage. The container housing is configured to allow the powder container to rotate around a rotation axis α. When the powder container is rotated from an installing position to a predetermined position in a peeling-off rotation direction around the rotation axis α, a supply port moves to a position corresponding to a receiving port, a bonder in which the sealer adheres to the powder container is peeled off, and thus the supply port and the receiving port are interconnected.

A remanufactured toner cartridge and related method includes a modified driven gear that is associated with an internal seal removal mechanism. The driven gear is modified so that driving rotational force from a printer is not transmitted to the seal removal mechanism during a post test of the remanufactured cartridge. When the post test is complete a fixing member, which may include a pin, is used to return the modified driven gear to an operational configuration so that when the cartridge is subsequently installed in a printer, driving rotational force from the printer is transmitted to the removal mechanism to remove the internal toner seal, thereby permitting cartridge operation.

A configuration in which an opening is covered with a plurality of partition members is provided, and timings of causing the partition members to move are differentiated, so that torque is reduced.

The disclosed structure includes a belt-shaped conveying member configured to convey developer. The conveying member includes a partitioning portion, which is a partition for developer contained in a casing with respect to a conveying direction in which the developer is conveyed, wherein, when the developer container is new, a first developer amount which is an amount of the developer contained at an upstream side that is upstream of the partitioning portion in the conveying direction, is larger than a second developer amount which is an amount of the developer contained at a downstream side that is downstream of the partitioning portion in the conveying direction.

A developer container includes a developer storage chamber that stores developer and includes an opening, a sealing member that seals the opening, an unsealing member that opens the opening by rotating such that the sealing member, a part of which is attached to the unsealing member, is peeled away, a stirring member that is attached to the unsealing member; and a regulating portion that regulates rotation of the unsealing member by contacting the stirring member. The regulating portion is provided to regulate the rotation of the unsealing member when the developer container receives an external force, and allow the unsealing member to rotate such that the opening is opened when the unsealing member receives driving power.

A developing device including a developer container includes a containing chamber including an opening and configured to contain developer, a sealing member folded and configured to seal the opening, and an unsealing member to which one end of the sealing member is fixed. The containing chamber includes a first fixing portion and a second fixing portion that are fixed to the sealing member configured to seal the opening. A rotation center of the unsealing member is located at a position opposing an unsealing fulcrum of the unsealing member with respect to a virtual plane including the first fixing portion, the second fixing portion, and the opening when the sealing member is peeled from the containing chamber. Accordingly, a force required to peel the sealing member can be reduced.

A frame including an opening and configured to store a developer, a seal member configured to seal the opening, and an unsealing member including a fixing portion to which the seal member is bonded or welded are included, and by movement of the unsealing member the seal member is removed from the frame to open the opening.

Provided is an elastic member which is obtained by forming a resin coating layer on at least a part of the surface of a base that is formed of an elastic material, and which is characterized in that the resin coating layer is a coating film that contains 1.5-45 parts by mass of a low-friction powder per 100 parts by mass of a base resin and has a 100% modulus of 22-30 MPa. This elastic member has a resin coating layer that has a good balance between film formability and low friction, and is suitable as a sealing member for an opening part of a toner container that is provided on a toner cartridge of a printer, a copy machine or the like.

A developer cartridge includes a developer container, a casing, a sealing member, and a drive input. The developer container is configured to sealingly contain developer therein. The developer container has an outlet through which the developer flows out of the developer container. The casing is configured to accommodate the developer container therein. The casing supports the developer container to allow the developer container to rotate about an axis thereof in a rotating direction. The sealing member is configured to seal the outlet. The drive input is configured to transmit rotational driving force to the developer container. The sealing member is fixed to the casing.
