An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus body and a moveable unit. The apparatus body includes an image forming device and a restriction portion. The moveable unit includes an image reading device and is detachably attached to the apparatus body. The moveable unit is opened and closed with respect to the apparatus body by rotation about a rotation shaft when the moveable unit is attached to the apparatus body. The moveable unit is attached to and detached from the apparatus body by moving in an axial direction of the rotation shaft. The moveable unit further includes a restricted portion that engages with the restriction portion that restricts a movement of the moveable unit in the axial direction. The restriction portion or the restricted portion further includes a deformation portion having elasticity. The deformation portion is deformed so that the moveable unit is attached to and detached from the apparatus body.

This disclosure is directed to an automatic feeding and scanning device having a scanning module, a paper feeding module and a cleaning module. The scanning module has a carrying platen, a scanning platen, and a scanner, the carrying platen and the scanning platen are light transmissive plates, two surfaces of the scanning platen are a bottom surface and a top surface opposite to the bottom surface, the scanner is arranged corresponding to the bottom surface of the scanning platen. The cleaning module has a brush and an actuating assembly connected to the brush and driving the brush. The brush is arranged corresponding to the top surface of the scanning platen, the actuating assembly drives the brush to scrape the top surface of the scanning platen.

A cover that covers side surfaces of a document conveyance path and a paper feeder in a direction orthogonal to a document conveyance direction and a notifier that notifies information on a document placement section are included. The cover has a first side surface disposed along the document conveyance direction and a second side surface disposed from an end of the first side surface on the paper feeder side toward the document placement section. The notifier includes a displayer that displays the information by light. The displayer includes a first displayer disposed on the first side surface and a second displayer disposed on the second side surface toward the document placement section. An original reading apparatus includes: a reading unit configured to read an original placed on a platen while moving in a predetermined direction in a housing; a sensor provided in the housing and configured to detect presence of the original in a predetermined position on the platen to identify a size of the original; a holding member movable in the housing and configured to hold the sensor and a cable extending from the sensor; and a cover configured to cover a predetermined space on a rear side of the platen mounted to the housing. A grip portion used by an operator to move the holding member is provided at one end of the holding member extending to the predetermined space through an opening portion in a wall on a rear side of the housing. When the cover is removed, the operator is allowed to grip the grip portion.

Proposed are a home port and a substrate processing apparatus using the same. The home port is installed in the substrate processing apparatus to temporarily mount a nozzle for discharging a process liquid to a substrate, and includes a main body having a space therein, a nozzle holder provided at an upper portion of the main body and configured to mount the nozzle, an inclined surface formed below the nozzle holder in the space, a first supply pipe configured to discharge a rinse liquid to a tip of the nozzle, a second supply pipe configured to inject the rinse liquid into the main body, a conductive wire configured to electrically connect the inclined surface and the first supply pipe, and a first switch installed on the conductive wire.

Provided is an image reading apparatus including: a line sensor including three light receiving element arrays arranged at a predetermined interval in a sub-scanning direction, and being configured to read an image of an original by the respective light receiving element arrays to generate read data representing the read image, the three light receiving element arrays each including light receiving elements for receiving red light, blue light and green light. These elements are arranged in a main scanning direction; and a reading control board. The reading control board is configured to acquire the read data obtained by the respective light receiving element arrays from the line sensor, to sort a plurality of pieces of read data for every pixel of the same color, and to detect an abnormal pixel that does not exist in the image of the original for each color.

A cover that covers side surfaces of a document conveyance path and a paper feeder in a direction orthogonal to a document conveyance direction and a notifier that notifies information on a document placement section are included. The cover has a first side surface disposed along the document conveyance direction and a second side surface disposed from an end of the first side surface on the paper feeder side toward the document placement section. The notifier includes a displayer that displays the information by light. The displayer includes a first displayer disposed on the first side surface and a second displayer disposed on the second side surface toward the document placement section. Even from a plurality of small documents, their front-side and back-side images to be formed on a recording paper sheet, with alignment and coincidence of the front-side and back-side images of each document between the front and back sides of the recording paper sheet. In an image forming apparatus, an image processing section detects a front-side image of an original document from a scan area read in a first scan by an image reading section, detects a back-side image of the original document from a scan area read in a second scan, and moves or rotates the front-side image and the back-side image of the original document in terms of a whole image of the scan area so that the front-side image and the back-side image of the original document are brought into alignment and coincidence between a front side and a back side of a recording paper sheet.

An image forming apparatus including an image forming unit, first and second discharging portions, first and second supporting portions, an image reading portion, and first and second switching portions is provided. The first switching portion switches between causing a sheet bearing an image formed by the image forming unit to be discharged to the first supporting portion by the first discharging portion and causing the sheet to be conveyed toward the image reading portion that reads the image. The second switching portion switches between causing the sheet whose image has been read to be conveyed toward the second discharging portion that discharges the sheet whose image has been read to the second supporting portion and causing the sheet to be conveyed toward the image forming unit. The image reading portion is disposed above the first discharging portion and further on the inside of the apparatus than the second switching portion.
