A sheet conveyance apparatus includes a drive transmission mechanism configured to transmit a driving force from a driving source to a rotary conveyance member. The drive transmission mechanism includes a shaft, a first rotary member supported on the shaft and configured to rotate by being driven by the driving source, a second rotary member supported on the shaft and configured to rotate the rotary conveyance member, a drive transmission member provided movably in an axial direction of the shaft, and configured to transmit the driving force between the first rotary member and the second rotary member, and a moving unit configured to move the drive transmission member to a transmission position and a release position. The drive transmission member engages the first and second rotary members with each other at the transmission position, and releases engagement of the first and second rotary members at the release position.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image reading apparatus includes a first body, a sheet conveyance portion, an opening/closing member, a first image reading portion, and an adjustor portion. The sheet conveyance portion is configured to convey a sheet toward a sheet conveyance path. The opening/closing member is provided openably with respect to the first body and is configured to open a part of the sheet conveyance path in response to its opening. The first image reading portion is configured to read an image of the sheet conveyed by the sheet conveyance portion. The adjustor portion is configured to adjust a position of the first image reading portion. The adjustor portion includes a manipulator portion manipulated in making an adjustment of the position of the first image reading portion and disposed to be exposed if the opening/closing member is opened.
Decoloring apparatus and method
A decoloring apparatus includes a sheet conveying unit, a scanner, a decoloring unit positioned downstream of the scanner, a user interface, and a controller. The user interface includes a resolution setting section configured to receive input for setting the resolution of the image to be scanned by the scanner, and a processing mode setting section configured to receive input for setting whether to execute scanning processing by the scanner and for setting whether to execute decoloring processing by the decoloring unit. The controller is configured to control contents of the user interface and to perform a mode limiting processing so that when one of the scanning processing and decoloring processing is set to be executed, the other of the scanning processing and decoloring processing cannot be set to be executed.
Image reading apparatus capable of selecting document sheet conveyance process
A sheet conveying device can selectively execute a first conveyance process of conveying sheets on a first tray and discharging the sheets onto a second tray, a second conveyance process of conveying the sheets on the first tray and discharging the sheets onto a third tray, or a third conveyance process of conveying the sheets on the third tray and discharging the sheets onto the second tray. A control device records conveyance history information indicating by which conveyance processes each of the sheets on the first tray has been conveyed in a storage device. Furthermore, the control device causes the sheet conveying device to sequentially select the first conveyance process or the third conveyance process for each of the sheets based on the conveyance history information and execute the selected process.
Image reading device and image forming apparatus
An image reading device includes a reading device body and a document feeder that is turnably attached on the upper side of the reading device body with hinge devices. An extended portion that extends outward from a rear frame is formed on a beam frame fixing the rear frame and a front frame of the document feeder at a predetermined interval, and a third coupling portion coupled to the turning member of the hinge device is formed in the extended portion.

An image forming apparatus including an image forming unit, a discharging portion, a supporting portion, an image reading portion, and a switching portion is provided. The image forming unit is configured to form an image on a sheet. The discharging portion is configured to discharge the sheet on which the image has been formed. The supporting portion is configured to support the sheet discharged by the discharging portion. The image reading portion is configured to read, at a reading position, the image formed on the sheet. The switching portion is configured to switch between causing the sheet discharged by the discharging portion to be conveyed to the supporting portion and causing the sheet discharged by the discharging portion to be conveyed toward the image reading portion. The sheet conveyed toward the image reading portion is conveyed to the reading position after conveyance by the discharging portion is finished.

An image forming system includes an image forming apparatus, an image reading apparatus, a connecting conveyance path that branches from a second main conveyance path of the image reading apparatus and joins a first sub conveyance path of the image forming apparatus, and configured to convey an original from the image reading apparatus to the image forming apparatus. The system controls conveyance of the original so that a first side becomes a side that faces an image forming unit if the first side of the original is designated as the image formation side or so that a second side becomes the side that faces the image forming unit if the second side of the original iFs designated as the image formation side.

An image forming apparatus includes a printer portion; an image reading portion rotatable relative to the printer portion; a discharge portion configured to stack the recording material discharged from an inside of the printer portion, the discharge portion being supported rotatably relative to the printer portion; and a regulating member provided between the discharge portion and the image reading portion and configured to regulate movement of the recording material stacked on the discharge portion. When the image forming apparatus is seen in a rotational axis direction of the image reading portion, at least a part of the regulating member in a state in which the image reading portion and the discharge portion are open away from the printer portion is hidden inside a contour of a casing of the image reading portion.

The outer guide includes an outer curved guide surface defining an outer surface of the sheet conveyance passage. The inner guide includes an inner curved guide surface defining an inner surface of the sheet conveyance passage, and a first flat part. The movable guide includes a projecting portion projectable into the sheet conveyance passage, and a second flat part provided in the projecting portion. The movable guide is attached to the outer guide in such a way as to allow the first and second flat parts to face each other with the projecting portion projecting in the sheet conveyance passage.
