A method for scheduling a depletion of a supply material in a printing system including a print engine capable of printing at a settable print velocity while using the supply material, a control unit for controlling a print job queue comprising at least one print job scheduled to be printed by means of a scheduling scheme while using the supply material, a supply material output holder for holding the supply material, and a user interface for interacting with a user of the printing system. The method includes determining a plurality of moments in time that the supply material output holder is full, and simultaneously scheduling for each determined moment in time of the plurality of moments in time a depletion event of emptying the supply material output holder in the scheduling scheme. The plurality of moments in time is determined by taking into account the total planned usage of the supply material according to print job specifications of the at least one print job scheduled in the print job queue and a capacity of the supply material output holder with respect to the properties of the supply material. Each of the determined moments in time is established on the basis of the settable print velocity of the printing system with respect to the at least one print job in the print job queue.

Moreover, the processor derives estimated performance according to derivation rules. Furthermore, the processor outputs information about the estimated performance. The estimated performance is performance related to the printing process in a case where it is presumed that the printing process is executed according target parameters. The target parameters are the control parameters of the target registration data.

An image forming apparatus including a plurality of sheet feeding cassettes includes a control unit. The control unit performs control. In a case where a predetermined condition is satisfied during execution of a print job to print image data, the control unit performs control to execute interruption processing of a correction job to print a correction patch. The control unit performs control to determine, from the plurality of sheet feeding cassettes, a sheet feeding cassette to be used for the correction job based on information on the sheet feeding cassette used for the print job.

According to one embodiment, provided is a support device including a base member, a pair of tip members, and a pair of lower end members. The base member is configured to be foldable at an intermediate portion in a width direction, the base member having a plate shape. This disclosure is directed to an automatic feeding and scanning device having a scanning module, a paper feeding module and a cleaning module. The scanning module has a carrying platen, a scanning platen, and a scanner, the carrying platen and the scanning platen are light transmissive plates, two surfaces of the scanning platen are a bottom surface and a top surface opposite to the bottom surface, the scanner is arranged corresponding to the bottom surface of the scanning platen. The cleaning module has a brush and an actuating assembly connected to the brush and driving the brush. The brush is arranged corresponding to the top surface of the scanning platen, the actuating assembly drives the brush to scrape the top surface of the scanning platen.

A first conveying unit is allowed to be in contact with a print medium loaded on an uppermost portion of the one or more print media loaded on a print medium loading unit to convey the print medium from the uppermost portion. The first moving unit moves at least one of the one or more print media and the first conveying unit in each of directions in which the uppermost portion and the first conveying unit are close to each other and directions in which the uppermost portion and the first conveying unit are far away from each other.

An image forming apparatus includes a processor configured to: receive paper information on a type of paper on which an image is formed; acquire assist information about assistance to supply the paper by supplying gas to the paper and adjustment information about positioning of the paper after assistance to supply the paper is performed, the assist information and the adjustment information corresponding to the received paper information and relating to transport of the paper; and perform control for storing the paper information, the assist information, and the adjustment information in association with one another into a memory.
