The pressure-induced phase transition particles have at least two glass transition temperatures, and the difference between the lowest glass transition temperature and the highest glass transition temperature among the glass transition temperatures exhibited by the pressure-induced phase transition particles is 30° C. or more.
Photocuring printing system and method
A photocuring printing system. A developing drum is rotatable and is light-transmissive; the developing drum and a carrier are oppositely arranged and movable with respect to each other; the developing drum has a developing surface on which an electrostatic latent image is formed by the developing engine; a feeder and the developing surface are oppositely arranged; during a rotation of the developing drum, a photocurable material provided by the feeder is selectively attracted by the electrostatic latent image to form a material layer on the developing surface; the material layer is applied, by the developing drum, on a forming surface of the carrier or a cured model on the carrier; and a curing light beam emitted by a curing light source passes through a material-laying side of the developing drum to irradiate the material layer between the developing drum and the carrier to form a cured layer.
IMAGE HEATER
An image heating device includes a conveyance belt having a heat generation layer, and a first electrode portion, a second electrode portion and a third electrode portion that are in contact with the heat generation layer. The conveyance belt conveys a recording medium that includes an image. A first heat generation region formed on the conveyance belt between the first electrode portion and the second electrode portion generates heat to a first temperature that is equal to or greater than a deformation temperature at which a material forming the image is deformable. A second heat generation region formed between the second electrode portion and the third electrode portion generates heat to a second temperature that is different from the first temperature. The first heat generation region and the second heat generation region are located in a region of the conveyance belt to contact the recording medium.
Method and apparatus of decorating a metallic container by digital printing to a transfer blanket
An apparatus and methods of decorating a metallic container are provided. More specifically, the present invention relates to apparatus and methods used to provide a decoration or indicia on a predetermined portion of an outer surface of a metallic container body. The decorator includes at least one digital print unit, a transfer blanket, and a support element. The digital print unit transfers a decorating material to the transfer blanket to form a decoration on the transfer blanket. The support element then moves a metallic container into contact with the transfer blanket. In this manner, the decorating material is transferred to an exterior surface portion of the metallic container to decorate the metallic container. In one embodiment, the digital print unit is an electrophotographic system which transfers a toner material to the transfer blanket. In another embodiment, the digital print unit includes an inkjet print head which transfers an ink to the transfer blanket. Optionally, the decorator may include two or more support elements.
SHEET LAMINATOR, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND SHEET LAMINATING METHOD
A sheet laminator laminates a two-ply sheet and a sheet-shaped medium inserted in the two-ply sheet. The sheet laminator includes a sheet feeder, a multi-feeding detector, a fixing device, an ejection device, a purging portion, a passage switcher, and circuitry. The sheet feeder feeds the two-ply sheet. The multi-feeding detector detects multiple feeding of the two-ply sheet. The fixing device fixes the two-ply sheet by application of heat and pressure. The ejection device ejects the two-ply sheet that has been fixed by the fixing device. The purging portion is disposed at a position different from the ejection device. The passage switcher switches a conveyance passage of the two-ply sheet to the fixing device or to the purging portion. The circuitry conveys the two-ply sheet to the purging portion and retries sheet feeding with another two-ply sheet, in response to detection of multiple feeding of the two-ply sheet.
Unit and image forming apparatus having a certain adhesive force property
A unit includes: a developing device configured to develop an electrostatic charge image that is formed on a surface of an image carrier, as a toner image with a developer including a flat toner containing a flat pigment, the developer being accommodated in the developing device; and a transfer device including an intermediate transfer belt onto which the toner image formed on the surface of the image carrier is primarily transferred, a primary transfer device configured to primarily transfer the toner image formed on the surface of the image carrier to a surface of the intermediate transfer belt, and a secondary transfer device configured to secondarily transfer the toner image on the surface of the intermediate transfer belt to a surface of a recording medium, wherein the intermediate transfer belt contains a resin and conductive carbon particles, and after the flat toner adheres to an outer circumferential surface of the intermediate transfer belt in a loading amount of 3 g/cm.sup.2, in a case where air is blown to the outer circumferential surface from an upper side of the outer circumferential surface while increasing a blowing pressure, all the flat toner adhering to the outer circumferential surface is separated from the outer circumferential surface at a blowing pressure of 25 kPa or less.
