The cleaning unit includes: a frame; and a handle. The frame is configured to accommodate therein developing agent collected from the image forming apparatus. The handle includes: a pair of first parts; and a second part. Each of the pair of first parts extends from the frame in an extending direction perpendicular to an axial direction of the photosensitive drum in a state where the cleaning unit is attached to the main body. The pair of first parts includes a lock mechanism for locking the cleaning unit to the main body. The second part extends in the axial direction and connects the pair of first parts to each other.
Processing Cartridge and Electronic Imaging Device

The process cartridge includes a cartridge body having an accommodating cavity; a developing roller rotatably installed in the accommodating cavity; a photosensitive drum rotatably installed in the cartridge body; a charging roller that is in contact with a peripheral surface of the photosensitive drum and is spaced from the developing roller; and a cleaning member that is located in the accommodating cavity and installed in the cartridge body, extends in a direction parallel to the charging roller, and is in contact with a peripheral surface of the charging roller. The developing roller is in contact with the peripheral surface of the photosensitive drum. The electronic imaging device includes a machine body, and the foregoing process cartridge is detachably installed thereon. The present invention can increase the utilization rate of toner and reduce abrasion of the photosensitive drum.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes a belt component, a first detachable unit that faces the belt component in an area where an outer surface of the belt component faces upward, a first housing component that houses the first detachable unit and is drawable from and loadable into the apparatus, a second detachable unit that faces the belt component in an area where the outer surface of the belt component faces downward, and a second housing component that houses the second detachable unit and is drawable from and loadable into the apparatus. With the first housing component being drawn from the apparatus, the first detachable unit is detachable from and attachable to the first housing component in a side-to-side direction. With the second housing component being drawn from the apparatus, the second detachable unit is detachable from and attachable to the second housing component in an upward direction.
Cartridge having toner removing sheet in contact with photosensitive drum
A cartridge detachably mountable to a main assembly of an image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive member unit including a photosensitive drum; a sheet configured to remove a deposited matter from a surface of the drum, the sheet being in contact with the surface of the drum at an end portion of the drum with respect to a rotational axis direction of the member; and a developing unit detachably mounted to the member unit, the developing unit including a developing roller configured to supply toner to the drum, and a storage portion configured to store the deposited matter removed from the surface of the drum by the sheet.
Image forming apparatus with condensation control
An image forming apparatus includes an image bearing member, a belt, a development unit having a development member in contact with the image bearing member to develop an electrostatic latent image formed on the image bearing member using toner, and a collection unit having a contacting member in contact with the belt to collect toner remaining on the belt adjacent to the contacting member. If condensation is detected inside the image forming apparatus, the image forming apparatus performs predetermined control to separate the development member from the image bearing member and drive the belt in such a manner that the belt moves at a second surface speed different from a first surface speed while driving the image bearing member in such a manner that the image bearing member rotates at the first surface speed in a state where the image bearing member is in contact with the belt.
CARTRIDGE INCLUDING DEVELOPING DEVICE AND TONER CONTAINER BETWEEN WHICH TONER CAN BE CIRCULATED
A cartridge includes: a photosensitive drum; a drum cleaner for cleaning the photosensitive drum; a toner pipe for conveying collected toner; a toner container storing therein toner; and a developing device for supplying toner in the toner container to the photosensitive drum. The cartridge is detachably attachable to an image forming apparatus. The collected toner is toner removed from the photosensitive drum by the drum cleaner. The developing device includes a developing housing for storing therein toner supplied from the toner container and the collected toner conveyed by the toner pipe. The toner container has: a toner discharge port for discharging toner stored in the toner container; and a returned toner receiving port for receiving toner returned from the developing device. The developing housing has: a toner receiving port for receiving toner discharged from the toner discharge port; and a toner return port for returning toner to the toner container.
SERVICING A DRUM AT A PRINTER
In an example of the disclosure, service rotation of a drum along a longitudinal axis of the drum is caused. The service rotation is to apply a centrifugal force upon a liquid held by the drum. The centrifugal force pushes gas bubbles in the drum away from a curved surface of the drum and towards the longitudinal drum axis. The gas bubbles evacuate from the drum via an outlet tube positioned adjacent to the longitudinal drum axis. A production rotation of the drum is caused after the service rotation.
