IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS CAPABLE OF DETECTING ATTACHMENT STATE OF TONER CONTAINER
An image forming apparatus includes a motor, a container detection sensor, and a controller. When a toner container is attached, the motor generates a driving force for rotating a toner conveying member in the toner container. The container detection sensor is arranged at a position where the container detection sensor comes into contact with an outer periphery of a cam connected to the toner conveying member when the toner container is attached. The controller distinguishes between at least three attachment states of the toner container based on a sensor signal of the container detection sensor.
DEVELOPING CARTRIDGE AND ELECTRONIC IMAGING APPARATUS
A developing cartridge and an electronic imaging apparatus, where the developing cartridge is detachable installed in the electronic imaging apparatus, and includes a cartridge, a power reception member, a rotary member and an activation member; the cartridge includes a first side wall and a second side wall provided opposite to each other along a first direction, where a power reception member is located at the first side wall, a rotary member is installed between the first side wall and the second side wall, one end of the rotary member is provided with a first gear, and the other end of the rotary member is provided with a second gear, an activation member is located at the second side wall; and the activation member includes a movable member and a trigger part provided at the movable member.
Developing cartridge having coupling and developing roller
In a cartridge, a housing has a developer accommodating portion and includes a first side wall and a second side wall. A coupling member is disposed at a position opposite to the developer accommodating portion with respect to the first side wall. A detection body is disposed at a position opposite to the developer accommodating portion with respect to the second side wall. A first driving force transmission member is positioned at the same side with the coupling member with respect to the first side wall, and transmits driving force from the coupling member to a rotating member. A second driving force transmission member is positioned at the same side with the detection body with respect to the second side wall, and transmits driving force from the rotating member to the detection body.
Image forming apparatus capable of determining whether a container is new or used
An image forming apparatus includes a container that can store developer; an apparatus body by which the container is detachably supported; a detection portion, for determining an installed state of the container, provided for the apparatus body; and a control portion determining whether the container is unused based on a detection result by the detection portion. The container includes a displaceable member displaced between an initial position where the displaceable member is not detected by the detection portion and a detection position where the displaceable member is detected by the detection portion. When the container is in an initial installation state immediately after being installed in the apparatus body, the control portion determines the container is unused in a case where the displaceable member is not detected by the detection portion, and determines the container is used in a case where the displaceable member is detected by the detection portion.
Image forming apparatus having guide members for detachably inserting cartridges
An image forming apparatus includes: a first guide that is provided in an apparatus housing and configured to suspend and hold a first unit including an image holder so that the first unit is movable in an insertion and removal direction; a second guide that is provided in the apparatus housing and configured to suspend and hold a second unit including a developer holder so that the second unit is movable in an insertion and removal direction; and a pedestal that is disposed on a front side in the insertion and removal direction with respect to the first guide and the second guide, supports, from below in a gravity direction, the first unit and the second unit while the first unit and the second unit are inserted into the apparatus housing, and does not contact with the first unit and the second unit located in the apparatus housing.
Developing cartridge providing layout of electrodes and detection gear
A developing cartridge includes a developing electrode and a supply electrode. The developing electrode includes a first electrical contact in contact with a developing roller shaft, and a second electrical contact positioned closer to the developing roller shaft than a second agitator gear is to the developing roller shaft. The second electrical contact is positioned farther from the developing roller shaft than the first electrical contact is from the developing roller shaft. The supply electrode includes a first electrical contact in contact with the supply roller shaft, and a second electrical contact positioned closer to the developing roller shaft than the second agitator gear is to the developing roller shaft. The second electrical contact of the supply electrode is positioned farther from the developing roller shaft than the second electrical contact of the developing electrode is from the developing roller shaft.
DEVELOPER STORAGE CONTAINER TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF MOLDS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A developer storage container includes a container body and a shape forming member. The developer storage container is attached to and detached from any one of three or more mounting portions provided to an image forming apparatus forming an image using a developer. The container body has a side wall portion formed in a mounting direction to the image forming apparatus. The shape forming member is attached to the side wall portion in a mode to correspond to any one of three mounting portions, forming a first non-compatible shape corresponding to this mounting portion.
