The object of the present invention is to fix the thermoplastic ink in powder state used to print digital images by means of an electrographic laser motor on self-adhesive web media such as self-adhesive paper webs, self-adhesive film webs such as polypropylenes, polyethylenes, polyesters, and vinyls, with different thicknesses and finishes, allowing work to be stopped between one production batch and another and/or stops for self-calibration of the print motor without changing the self-adhesive media, preventing problems due to overheating of the printout. The apparatus according to the present invention makes it possible to enhance the fixed prints with a glossy, matt, or holographed finish, without the need for subsequent treatment and/or the use of chemical materials afterwards, offering greater flexibility and economy at work.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes: a conveying unit configured to convey continuous paper in a forward direction and in a reverse direction; an image forming unit configured to form an image on the continuous paper conveyed in the forward direction; a fixing unit configured to fix the image formed onto the continuous paper; an adjusting unit configured to adjust the image forming unit while the continuous paper is conveyed in the reverse direction; and a control unit configured to cause the conveying unit to convey the continuous paper in the reverse direction by an amount equivalent to a predetermined reverse conveyance distance to adjust the bottom edge of the image in a conveying direction to a position on an upstream side of the image forming unit, and cause the conveying unit to convey the continuous paper in the forward direction and cause the image forming unit to resume image formation.
Image forming apparatus with selectable disabling of fixing operation
An image forming apparatus that forms an image on a long paper sheet conveyed along a conveyance path extending from a paper feeding side to a paper discharging side includes: an image forming unit configured to transfer a toner image onto the long paper sheet; a fixing unit configured to fix the toner image onto the long paper sheet; a paper existence determining unit configured to determine whether the long paper sheet exists along the conveyance path; a temperature determining unit configured to determine whether a fixing temperature of the fixing unit is equal to or lower than a predetermined temperature when the paper existence determining unit determines that the long paper sheet exists along the conveyance path; and a state setting unit configured to disable a fixing operation of the fixing unit when the temperature determining unit determines that the fixing temperature is higher than the predetermined temperature.
IMAGE FORMING DEVICE
An image forming device is provided. The image forming device includes: a conveyance unit that conveys a continuous paper, an image forming unit that forms an image on a continuous paper conveyed by the conveyance unit, a job selection unit that selects a job to be executed, and a processor that calculates an image forming distance and indicates the calculated image forming distance on a display. The image forming distance is a length in a conveyance direction of the continuous paper needed to execute the selected job.
Dust removal device and printer
A dust removal device for continuous paper improves operability and usability for a user. The continuous paper is continuously supplied in a rightward direction, then through guide rollers, the direction of the continuous paper is reversed leftward. A downward front surface of the continuous paper is cleaned with a first dust removal device. Further, a direction of the continuous paper is reversed with a guide roller rightward. A downward back surface of the continuous paper is cleaned with a second dust removal device, and is guided to the downstream side. The two dust removal devices are provided in a vertical positional relationship in space. Dust removed with a dust removing member falls to a dust receiving member and is stored in the dust receiving member. It is possible to easily dispose the dust by pulling out the dust removal device from a cleaning position to an outside detachment position.

IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes: an image former that forms an image on a continuous paper; a fixing unit that includes a pair of rotatable members and that nips the continuous paper between the rotatable members to convey the paper and fix the image formed on the paper by the image former; a conveying member different from the rotatable members; and a hardware processor. The image forming apparatus performs a paper conveying mode in which the image former does not form an image and at least the conveying member conveys the continuous paper. In the paper conveying mode, the hardware processor determines to press the rotatable members against each other or to separate the rotatable members from each other according to a predetermined criterion and, based on the determination, conveys the continuous paper while keeping the rotatable members pressed against each other or separated from each other.

An image forming apparatus that forms developer images on a continuous medium includes a control part that performs a developer image forming on an intermediate transfer body with an interval; a transfer part that transfers developer images to the continuous medium; an interval detection part that detects the interval of positions to which the developer images; and an interval information memory that stores interval information of the interval. Wherein, the control part obtains the interval information from the interval information memory when starting an operation of forming the developer image, and determines a timing of forming the developer images on the intermediate transfer body based on the interval information, and when the interval is detected by the interval detection part, the control part updates the interval information in the interval information memory based on the interval that is detected.
