An image forming apparatus includes a formation target that is wound around rotating bodies including a driving roller and transported by the rotating bodies including the driving roller while forming a shape having linear portions each of which forms a different angle, which is an acute angle or an angle of zero degrees, with a horizontal direction when viewed in an axial direction of the driving roller, first image forming bodies that are arranged along one of the linear portions in such a manner as to be spaced apart from each other by a first distance and that form images onto the formation target, and second image forming bodies that are arranged along another one of the linear portions, the other linear portion forming the angle larger than the angle formed by the one linear portion, in such a manner as to be spaced apart from each other by a second distance shorter than the first distance and that form images onto the formation target.
Image forming apparatus and tandem type photosensitive unit
An image forming apparatus is described. An image forming apparatus may include an image forming apparatus body and a tandem type photosensitive unit slidable with respect to the body, wherein the unit includes: a frame; a plurality of photosensitive bodies; a plurality of developer cartridges, including developer carriers, detachably mountable on the frame; and a pressing portion provided on the frame for pressing each of the cartridges so that the developer carrier thereof is directed toward the corresponding photosensitive body, each of the cartridges is pivoted to be movable to an imaging position pressed by the pressing portion and a detached position released from the pressing by the pressing portion, and the body is provided with an abutting portion abutting the cartridge located on the detached position thereby pivoting the cartridge and moving the same to the imaging position when the unit is mounted on the body.
Packing device
A packing device includes: a packing box with an internal space capable of storing a packing target object with a protection target part, and with a packing box inner surface that is at least one inner surface positioned to face the protection target part of the packing target object; and a holding material configured to, when stored in the internal space together with the packing target object, maintain a space between the protection target part and the packing box inner surface by coming into contact with the packing box inner surface and a contact surface of the packing target object facing the packing box inner surface, while staying out of contact with the protection target part of the packing target object.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes one or plural forming devices that form respective images on a recording medium that is being transported, a fixing device provided on a downstream side with respect to at least one of the forming devices in a direction of transport of the recording medium and that fixes the images formed on the recording medium, a delivering device that receives the recording medium transported in a first direction and discharges the recording medium in a second direction that is different from the first direction, and a supplying device that supplies the recording medium to any of the forming devices or to the delivering device. The forming devices, the fixing device, the delivering device, and the supplying device have respective housings and are each joinable to any of the other devices.
IMAGE FORMATION APPARATUS
An image formation apparatus that includes: first to third image formation units provided in this order in a traveling direction of a transfer target medium; a detector configured to detect first to third correction pattern formed on the transfer target medium by the first to third image formation units, respectively; and a control unit programed to control image misregistration correction based on a result of detection by the detector. The control unit causes the first and third image formation units to form the first and third correction patterns on the transfer target medium, respectively. When an amount of image misregistration between the first correction pattern and the third correction pattern is less than a predetermined value, the control unit neither causes the second image formation unit to form the second correction pattern, nor executes the image misregistration correction.

A printing apparatus includes a printing unit that prints images on sheets, a sheet processing unit that executes bookbinding processing on sheets on which images have been printed by the printing unit, a stack control unit that stacks, in a stacking unit, bookbinding products on which bookbinding processing has been executed by the sheet processing unit, a setting unit that sets whether or not to activate a stacking limit of bookbinding products to be stacked on the stacking unit by the stack limiting unit, and a control unit that performs control so as to stop stacking in the stacking unit by the stack control unit in accordance with the stacking limit in the case where the stacking limit of bookbinding products has been set to activated by the setting unit.

An image forming apparatus, comprising: a body casing; a drum unit; a belt unit; and a waste toner storage unit, the drum unit comprising: a photosensitive drum; a cleaning unit; and a conveying unit configured to convey toner removed by the cleaning unit, the belt unit comprising: a belt and a unit electric contact, the conveying unit comprises: a conveying member to convey the toner removed by the cleaning unit in a moving direction of the drum unit; and a conveying tube having a discharging outlet configured to let toner carried by the conveying member be discharged to the waste toner storage unit, wherein the discharging outlet is disposed on a downstream side with respect to a body electric contact in a direction pointing from an inside position to an outside position of the drum unit in a state where the drum unit is disposed at the inside position.
Image forming apparatus and drum unit
An image forming apparatus includes a drum unit movable between an inside position inside a main body casing and an outside position outside the main body casing. The drum unit includes a photoconductive drum extending in an axial direction intersecting a moving direction of the drum unit from the outside position toward the inside position, and a transporter transporting toner removed by a cleaner toward a waste toner container. The transporter includes a transportation member transporting the toner along the moving direction, a transportation tube accommodating the transportation member and having an outlet, and a shutter movable between a closed position to close the outlet and an open position to open the outlet. The shutter includes a protruding section protruding along the axial direction from a shutter main body when the shutter is in the closed position, the protruding section being upstream of the photoconductive drum in the moving direction.

A development device, includes: a developer bearing member; a magnet that is stored in the developer bearing member and has a development pole; and a regulation portion that is disposed to face the developer bearing member for regulating an amount of developer carried on the developer bearing member, wherein the regulation portion is disposed such that, when a magnetic flux density of the development pole in the normal direction with respect to a surface of the developer bearing member is defined as positive, a magnetic flux density becomes positive in the entirety of a region which is upstream of a development region where the developer and an image bearing member are in contact with each other so as to develop an electrostatic latent image formed on the image bearing member and which is downstream of the regulation portion in a rotation direction of the developer bearing member.
Image forming apparatus including cartridge for protecting photosensitive drum
An image forming apparatus includes a main body and a cartridge attached to the main body. The cartridge includes: a casing extending in a longitudinal direction; a photosensitive drum extending in the longitudinal direction; and a separating member that is detachably attached to the casing. The photosensitive drum has a peripheral surface and is positioned in confrontation with the endless belt as a result of attachment of the cartridge to the main body. The separating member is attached to the casing and separates the photosensitive drum from the endless belt when the main body is packaged while the cartridge is attached to the main body. The separating member includes first and second end portions disposed on both end portions of the casing, and a connecting portion connecting the first and second end portions and is configured to cover the peripheral surface.
