The toner conveyor conveys toner from the toner reception port toward the toner discharge port. A development housing includes a development reception port and a development discharge port. The development reception port receives toner discharged from the toner discharge port. The development discharge port discharges, to the toner pipe, toner that is retuned from the development housing to the toner container.

A toner container is elongated. A first rotating member is rotatably provided in a first toner storage portion and extends in a depth direction of a container main body. A first drive input portion is provided at an end of a first rotation shaft included in the first rotating member and configured to receive a driving force. A second rotating member rotatably provided in a second toner storage portion and extends in the depth direction. A second drive input portion is provided at an end of a second rotation shaft included in the second rotating member and configured to receive a driving force. The container main body includes a plate-like coupling member coupling a first housing of the first toner storage portion with a second housing of the second toner storage portion.

An image forming apparatus includes an image bearing member, a brush, and a controller. The controller controls so that, in a case where, in a state where a recording material trailing edge in a conveyance direction is sandwiched at a transfer portion, an area of the image bearing member in the conveyance direction where the recording material is sandwiched in a direction perpendicular to the conveyance direction is a first area, and an area of the image bearing member in the conveyance direction where the recording material is not sandwiched is a second area, a first potential difference formed between a surface potential formed on the second area and a brush voltage, which is based on first information, when the second area reaches the brush and a second potential difference formed between the second area surface potential and the brush voltage, which is based on second information, are different.

The control portion proposes or determines a change from the first mode to the second mode of the image forming mode on the basis of the developer amount information and the development drive information.
