The image forming apparatus is configured to form an image and includes a support portion on an upper surface of the image forming apparatus. The support portion is configured to support the post.

An image forming apparatus includes a main assembly, a grip, a first guiding member, and a second guiding member. The grip is linearly movable between a first position accommodated inside the main assembly and a second position projecting from the main assembly. The grip has a projection of resin material projecting downwardly from a lower surface of the grip. The first guiding member is provided above the grip to guide the movement of the grip, and the second guiding member is provided below the grip and configured to guide the movement of the grip together with the first guiding member. The second guiding member is provided with an engaging portion projecting from an upper surface of the second guiding member and capable of engaging with the projection to restrict movement of the grip toward the second position when the grip is in the first position.

An image forming apparatus includes a main assembly; a grip linearly movable between a first position accommodated inside the main assembly and a second position projecting from the main assembly, the grip being provided with a projection of resin material projecting downwardly from a lower surface of the grip; a first guiding member provided above the grip to guide the movement of the grip; and a second guiding member provided below the grip and configured to guide the movement of the grip together with the first guiding member, the second guiding member is provided with an engaging portion projecting from an upper surface of the second guiding member and capable of engaging with the projection to restrict movement of the grip toward the second position when the grip is in the first position.

A printer for printing information on a recording sheet, includes a housing configured to accommodate the recording sheet and a printing portion; an attachment member, which is removably mounted to the housing, and has a hook hole for a strap. A portion of the housing, to which the attachment member is mounted, and the attachment member form a rotation regulating portion configured to regulate rotation of the attachment member.

An image forming apparatus comprises a grip member, a support portion, and a housing. The support portion is provided in the housing and supports the grip member to be able to slide between a first position where the grip member is stored further inside than a side surface of the housing and a second position where the grip member protrudes outward from the side surface and can be gripped. The grip member has an upper grip portion and a lower grip portion that are separated in the up-down direction and supported by the support portion to be able to slide substantially horizontally. The image forming apparatus includes restricting mechanisms configured to restrict both grip portions from sliding toward the first position in a state in which the grip member is at the second position and an upward force is applied to at least one of the grip portions.

A portion of the housing, to which the attachment member is mounted, and the attachment member form a rotation regulating portion configured to regulate rotation of the attachment member.

A mechanism capable of preventing the occurrence of printing defects caused by the occurrence of shaking or acceleration caused by the movement of an image forming apparatus is provided. An image forming apparatus, which is capable of being moved by a moving mechanism to a destination designated by a user, includes at least one processor, and a memory coupled to the processor storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to function as a printing unit that executes a print processing that generates a printed matter, a retaining unit that retains a setting set by the user, the setting indicating whether or not to permit execution of the print processing at a predetermined timing related to movement by the moving mechanism, and a control unit that controls the execution of the print processing based on the setting.
