Process cartridge and image forming apparatus
A process cartridge is detachably mountable to a main assembly of an electrophotographic image forming apparatus. The cartridge includes an electrophotographic photosensitive drum, a developing roller, a drum unit containing the drum, a developing unit containing the roller and being movable so the roller contacts and is spaced from the drum, and a first force receiver receiving a force from a main-assembly first force applier by movement of a door from open to closed positions when mounting the cartridge and a second force receiver movable from a stand-by position by movement of the first force receiver by a force received from the first force applier. The second force receiver takes a projected position receiving a force from the second force applier to move the developing unit so the roller moves out of contact with the drum, the projected position being higher than the stand-by position.
Image forming apparatus having cover with link to support exposure heads
An image forming apparatus includes a housing having an opening, a cover movable between an open position and a closed position, a first photoconductive drum and a second photoconductive drum, a first exposing head having a first boss and rotatably coupled to the cover, a second exposing head having a second boss and rotatably coupled to the cover, and a cam rotatably coupled to each of the first exposing head and the second exposing head. The cam is configured to rotate each of the first exposing head and the second exposing head. The cam includes (i) a first elongated hole into which the first boss fits and extending a direction intersecting a movement direction in which the cam moves and (ii) a second elongated hole into which the second boss fits and extending in a direction intersecting the movement direction of the cam.
APPARATUS
An apparatus includes an openable and closable cover, a movable member disposed in the apparatus main body and to be exposed outside when the cover is opened, an openable and closable support member that supports the movable member, and a support shaft that supports the cover and the support member. The movable member and the support member are moved together with the cover as the cover rotates about the support shaft. The support shaft can move between a first position at which the support shaft supports the cover and the support member and a second position at which the support shaft does not support the cover and supports the support member. Moving the support shaft to the second position allows the cover to be detached from the apparatus main body.
Openable door mechanism
An openable door includes a first engaging member, a second engaging member, and at least one intermediate engaging member. when the openable door pivots from an open position to a closed position, an engaging portion of the first engaging member engages a first engaged portion, and an engaging portion of an engaging portion of the second engaging member engages a second engaged portion before an engaging portion of the intermediate engaging member engages an intermediate shaft body.
OPENING-CLOSING MEMBER OF IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An opening-closing member of an image forming apparatus includes: an external opening-closing member that configurates a part of an outer surface of the image forming apparatus and that is openable and closable; an internal opening-closing member that faces an inner surface of the external opening-closing member and that is openable and closable together with the external opening-closing member; and a container that defines a containment space by protruding from the internal opening-closing member toward the external opening-closing member and that enables a member contained in the containment space to be taken out when the external opening-closing member and the internal opening-closing member are opened.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
An image forming apparatus including: a first door rotatable about a first rotation axis extending in a width direction within a first rotation range between a first open position and a first closed position; a second door provided below the first door and rotatable about a second rotation axis extending in a direction orthogonal to the first rotation axis within a second rotation range between a second open position and a second closed position, a part of the first rotation range making inroads into the second rotation range; and a retracting portion configured to rotate the first door to a retracted position to allow a rotation of the second door in conjunction with the second door being rotated to the second closed position from a state in which the first door is in the first open position and the second door is in the second open position.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus for forming an image on a recording medium, the image forming apparatus includes a discharge tray for supporting the recording medium, an internal unit disposed inside the apparatus main body, and a door serving as a part of outer surface members of the apparatus main body, the door being opened and closed to expose and cover an inside of the apparatus main body to the outside, wherein, by opening of the door, a fixing member that fixes the discharge tray to the apparatus main body is exposed to the outside, and removing of the fixing member from the apparatus main body allows the discharge tray to be detached from the apparatus main body without removing the outer surface members other than the door, and wherein detaching of the discharge tray from the apparatus main body allows the internal unit to be accessed.
Image forming apparatus with extended cartridge opening and cover
An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus main body to which a cartridge is detachably attached. The apparatus main body includes a frame having an opening portion through which the cartridge is attached to the apparatus main body; an opening and closing member supported by the frame rotatably between an open position in which the opening portion is exposed and a closed position in which the opening portion is covered with the opening and closing member and having a stacking surface on which a sheet is to be stacked; a discharging roller discharging the sheet in a discharging direction onto the stacking surface; and a regulating wall which is movably attached to the opening and closing member and extends from the stacking surface toward the discharging roller in a direction intersecting the discharging direction to regulate an upstream edge of the sheet in the discharging direction.
