SINGLE-LAYER TYPE ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PHOTORECEPTOR FOR POSITIVE CHARGING, ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PHOTORECEPTOR CARTRIDGE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

The present invention relates to a single-layer type electrophotographic photoreceptor for positive charging, comprising: a conductive support; and a photosensitive layer disposed on the conductive support and comprising a binder resin, a charge generation material, a hole transport material and a specific electron transport material within the same layer, wherein the photosensitive layer contains a specific aromatic compound.

A photoconductor is provided. The photoconductor includes a support, an undercoat layer overlying the support, and a photosensitive layer overlying the undercoat layer. The undercoat layer includes a binder resin and a zinc oxide particle. The photosensitive layer includes a compound represented by the following formula (1):

An electrophotographic photosensitive member includes a support, an undercoat layer which contains a metal oxide particle and is formed on the support, a charge generating layer formed on the undercoat layer, and a charge transporting layer formed on the charge generating layer. Either or both of the undercoat layer and the charge generating layer contain a compound represented by formula (1).

ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PHOTOSENSITIVE MEMBER

An electrophotographic photosensitive member includes a conductive substrate and a photosensitive layer. The photosensitive layer contains at least a charge generating material, a charge transport material, and a binder resin. The binder resin includes a polyarylate resin. The polyarylate resin is represented by general formula (1) shown below. In general formula (1), X represents a divalent group represented by chemical formula (1-1), (1-2), (1-3), or (1-4) shown below.

A photoconductor including a conductive support, an undercoat layer, a charge-generating layer, and a charge-transporting layer, at least the undercoat layer, the charge-generating layer, and the charge-transporting layer being disposed on the conductive support in an order mentioned, wherein the undercoat layer includes a binder resin and metal oxide particles, and the charge-generating layer includes a binder resin, a titanyl phthalocyanine pigment, and a salicylic acid derivative.

ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC APPARATUS

The present invention provides an electrophotographic apparatus in which the deterioration of electrical properties in repetitive use is suppressed even in the case where an electrophotographic photosensitive member absorbs moisture under a high-temperature and high-humidity environment. An undercoat layer of the electrophotographic photosensitive member provided in the electrophotographic apparatus contains (α) a metal oxide particle, (β) a particular benzophenone compound and (γ) a compound represented by the following formula (2).

Provided is a photoconductor including a conductive support, an intermediate layer containing metal oxide particles, and a photoconductive layer. The intermediate layer and the photoconductive layer are provided over the conductive support in the order of reciting. An elastic power (We/Wt value) of the intermediate layer is greater than or equal to 20.0% but less than 35.0%. A Martens hardness (HM) of the intermediate layer is greater than or equal to 350 [N/mm.sup.2] but less than 450 [N/mm.sup.2].

The invention relates to a multilayer type electrophotographic photoreceptor comprising: a conductive support; and, on the conductive support, a charge generation layer containing a hydroxygallium phthalocyanine pigment and a charge transport layer, wherein the content of α-chloronaphthalene in hydroxygallium phthalocyanine pigment in the charge generation layer is in a range of 0 ng/cm.sup.2 to 0.1 ng/cm.sup.2, the charge transport layer contains a non-halogen organic solvent having a boiling point of 140° C. or more, and the content of the non-halogen organic solvent having a boiling point of 140° C. or more is in a range of 0.1 μg/cm.sup.2 to 5 μg/cm.sup.2.
