INK COMPOSITION WITH UV-CURABLE POLYMERIC RESIN BACKGROUND
Provided in one example herein is a liquid electrophotographic ink composition. The composition comprises a charge director; a non-polar carrier fluid comprising a polymer; and ink particles each comprising a polymeric resin mixture comprising a first polymeric resin having a first melting temperature and a second polymeric resin having a second melting temperature. The second polymeric resin may be a UV-curable polymer that is solid at room temperature, and the second melting temperature is lower than the first melting temperature.
PHOTOVOLTAIC CELLS
Described herein is a printed photovoltaic cell comprising an anode; an LEP printed cathode; and an LEP printed photovoltaic layer disposed between the anode and the cathode. The photovoltaic layer comprises a material with a perovskite structure having a chemical formula selected from ABX.sub.3 and A.sub.2BX.sub.6 and a thermoplastic resin comprising a copolymer of an alkylene monomer and a monomer having acidic side groups; and/or a copolymer of an alkylene monomer and an ethylenically unsaturated monomer comprising an epoxide; and/or a copolymer of an alkylene monomer, an ethylenically unsaturated monomer comprising an epoxide, and a monomer selected from a monomer having acidic side groups, a monomer having ester side groups and a mixture thereof. The printed cathode comprises: a thermoplastic resin; and electrically conductive metal particles. Also described herein is a method of producing the printed photovoltaic cell and an ink set for use in the method.
Printed rigid plastic substrates
A process for preparing a printed rigid plastic substrate is described, the process comprising: providing a rigid plastic substrate comprising a primer on a surface of the rigid plastic substrate, the primer comprising a primer resin; printing a liquid electrophotographic ink composition comprising a thermoplastic resin onto the primer on the surface of the rigid plastic substrate; depositing a cross-linking composition comprising a cross-linker onto the printed electrophotographic ink composition disposed on the primer; and laminating the rigid plastic substrate with a flexible film such that the ink composition and the cross-linker are disposed between the rigid substrate and the flexible film and wherein the lamination of the rigid substrate with the flexible film causes cross-linking of the thermoplastic resin of the ink composition and of the primer resin.
Liquid developer
A liquid developer comprising: a toner particle containing binder resin; a carrier liquid; and a basic toner particle dispersing agent, wherein the basic toner particle dispersing agent is a primary amine, an acid value of the binder resin is at least 10 mg KOH/g, an acid value of a component having a molecular weight of not more than 2,000 contained in the binder resin is not more than 5 mg KOH/g, and a hydroxyl value of the component having a molecular weight of not more than 2,000 contained in the binder resin is not more than 10 mg KOH/g.

Image forming apparatus and image forming method
The present invention provides an image forming apparatus provided with a fixing apparatus including an infrared irradiation unit for irradiation of a recording medium, on which a liquid developer including a colorant and a cationic polymerizable monomer having a C—H bond is placed, with infrared light, and an ultraviolet irradiation unit for irradiation of the liquid developer with ultraviolet light, wherein when a peak wavelength due to the C—H bond in an infrared absorption spectrum of the cationic polymerizable monomer is defined as λ1 and a half-value wavelength at which a spectral radiant energy density of infrared light emitted from the infrared irradiation unit is 50% (when two of such half-value wavelengths are present, a half-value wavelength at a longer wavelength) is defined as λ2, the peak wavelength λ1 is located at a shorter wavelength than the half-value wavelength λ2.
Decolorizable toner
Provided is a decolorizable toner including a binder resin and colorant particles which contain a color developable compound, a color developing agent, and a decolorizing agent, and have a capsule structure coated with an outer shell, wherein the binder resin is contained in an amount of 60 to 80% by mass with respect to the total amount of the toner components.
Liquid developer
The present invention can provide a liquid developer that can accommodate faster process speeds by image forming apparatuses, in which the liquid developer contains a toner particle comprising a polyester resin, and a carrier liquid having a vinyl ether compound. The liquid developer further contains a polymer compound having a structural unit represented by formula (1) in either of the toner particle or the carrier liquid. ##STR00001##
Liquid electrophotographic ink
The present disclosure discloses a liquid electrophotographic ink. The ink includes a liquid vehicle, an ethylene acid copolymer, and an ethylene/(meth)acrylic acid C1-10 alkyl ester copolymer. Also disclosed is a method for the manufacture that ink and a method for performing a liquid electrophotographic process by printing a substrate with the ink.
