METHODS FOR MULTI-MODAL BIOIMAGING DATA INTEGRATION AND VISUALIZATION
A multi-modal visualization system (MMVS) is provided, which may be used to analyze and visualize bioimaging data, objects, and pointers, such as neuroimaging data, surgical tools, and pointing rods. MMVS can integrate multiple bioimaging modalities to visualize a plurality of bioimaging datasets simultaneously, such as anatomical bioimaging data and functional bioimaging data.
Method and Apparatus for Producing an Acoustic Field
The present invention concerns a method and apparatus for the modulation of an acoustic field for providing tactile sensations. A method of creating haptic feedback using ultrasound is provided. The method comprises the steps of generating a plurality of ultrasound waves with a common focal point using a phased array of ultrasound transducers, the common focal point being a haptic feedback point, and modulating the generation of the ultrasound waves using a waveform selected to produce little or no audible sound at the haptic feedback point.
Methods, systems, apparatus, and articles of manufacture to control a holographic display of a vehicle
According to one example, a working machine includes a projection arrangement to generate a hologram, wherein the hologram presents a virtual operating element or a virtual display and a movement/position detection arrangement to detect a movement or a position of an operator. The working machine of the example also includes a control unit to control the operation of the working machine based on the detected movement or position of an operator and based on the basis of the hologram generated by the projection arrangement, wherein the projection arrangement is to generate the hologram at different positions or with different content in association with different operating positions to be assumed by an operator on an operator platform or the movement/position detection arrangement is designed to detect the movement or the position of an operator in different operating positions on the operator platform.
Holographic reality system, multiview display, and method
A holographic reality system and multiview display monitor a user position and provide virtual haptic feedback to the user. The holographic reality system includes a multiview display configured to display a multiview image, a position sensor configured to monitor the user position, and a virtual haptic feedback unit configured to provide the virtual haptic feedback. An extent of the virtual haptic feedback corresponds to an extent of a virtual control within the multiview image. The holographic reality multiview display includes an array of multiview pixels configured to provide different views of the multiview image by modulating directional light beams having directions corresponding to the different views and an array of multibeam elements configured to provide the directional light beams to corresponding multiview pixels.
Light field display system for sporting events
A light field (LF) display system for displaying holographic content (e.g., a holographic sporting event or holographic content to augment a holographic sporting event) to viewers in an arena. The LF display system in the arena includes LF display modules tiled together to form an array of LF modules. The array of LF modules create a holographic object volume for displaying the holographic content in the arena. The array of LF modules displays the holographic content to viewers in the viewing volumes. The LF display system can be included in a LF sporting event network. The LF sporting event network allows holographic content to be created at one location and presented at another location. The LF sporting event network includes a network system to manage the digital rights of the holographic sporting event content.

HOLOGRAM TOUCH DISPLAY DEVICE AND HOLOGRAM TOUCH GESTURE CONTROL METHOD
Provided are a hologram touch display device and a hologram touch gesture control method. A hologram touch display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a space projector configured to project a keypad hologram having a plurality of key buttons in air; a touch recognition part configured to emit light to the keypad hologram, receive the light reflected by a touch gesture of a user at the keypad hologram to detect a touch position of the user with respect to the keypad hologram, and determine keypad touch information of the user according to the touch to position; and a touch controller configured to perform control such that an external device connected over a network operates on the basis of the keypad touch information.
REAL-TIME ADAPTATION OF HOLOGRAPHIC IMAGING BASED ON A PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT USING A REASONING ENGINE
In one embodiment, a device transmits data characterizing a holographic image to a physical environment. A visible rendering of the holographic image is created in the physical environment. The device uses a reasoning engine to make an inference regarding a state of the physical environment based on sensor data captured in the physical environment indicative of one or more real-time characteristics of the physical environment. In response to the inference, the device adjusts the holographic image. Then, the device transmits data characterizing the adjusted holographic image to the physical environment, and a visible rendering of the adjusted holographic image is created in the physical environment.
Displaying holograms via hand location
Examples are disclosed that relate to computing devices, head-mounted display devices, and methods for displaying holographic objects using slicing planes or volumes. In one example a computing device causes a display system to display a holographic object associated with a holographic volume, the holographic object occluding an occluded holographic object that is not displayed. Location data of at least a portion of a hand is received from a sensor. The location data of the hand is used to locate a slicing plane or a slicing volume within the holographic volume. Based on the location of the slicing plane or the slicing volume, at least a portion of the occluded holographic object is displayed via the display system.
Computer ball device for mixed reality, virtual reality, or augmented reality
Implementations of various computer methods to couple a computerized ball device which acts as a mobile computing device to record the users environment and project light towards waveguide eyeglasses or contacts which then allows a user to view imbedded light structure holograms in the waveguide while viewing the actual world. The computer ball device additionally has the ability to be docked in a drone cradle which creates a database map of the user's environment while not being utilized by the user for an immediate task. The device may also attach to a wrist band for mobility. The device also has the ability to couple the projected light structures so that a plurality of users may view the same light structure content to build an environment of trust. The device decouples the traditional design of head mounted virtual and mixed reality that place together the camera with the head mounted device.
