This is achieved by a 2D sub-hologram of an object point, which has image elements of the spatial light modulator, comprises a half 1D sub-hologram, where the radius of each image element is determined and each image element of the 2D sub-hologram is fixedly assigned to at least one image element of the half 1D sub-hologram with identical or similar radius by way of an electronic circuit, by a method for encoding a hologram, and by a pipeline on the basis of FPGA and/or ASIC.
Piecewise Rolled Vector Gratings and Methods of Fabrication
Various embodiments of this disclosure relate to a piecewise varying rolled K-vector grating structure including: a first grating section containing a grating with a first K-vector, a second grating section containing a grating with a second K-vector; and a first boundary region positioned between the first grating section and the second grating section. The first boundary region is a multiplexed grating region including both the first K-vector and the second K-vector. Further disclosed is a method for recording such a grating structure utilizing a holographic recording process. Providing a multiplexed grating in the first boundary region may largely remove line exposure artifacts between adjacent sections of the P-RKV grating.

One or more virtual electromagnetic fields (40) are calculated starting from at least one of the virtual light sources (30) in one or more zones (11) of the one or more virtual hologram planes (10). In the one or more zones (11), in each case, a virtual total electromagnetic field (41) is calculated on the basis of the sum of two or more, of the virtual electromagnetic fields (40) in the respective zone (11). One or more phase images (50) are calculated from the virtual total electromagnetic fields (41) in the one or more zones (11). A height profile (60) of the hologram (1) is calculated from the one or more phase images (50) and the height profile (60) of the hologram (1) is incorporated into a substrate (2) to provide the hologram (1).
METHOD AND HOLOGRAPHIC APPARATUS FOR THE THREE-DIMENSIONAL REPRESENTATION OF SCENES
An apparatus and method for the three-dimensional representation of scenes comprising an illumination device and a spatial light modulation device for modulating incident light. A hologram is encoded into the spatial light modulation device and the hologram is composed of individual sub-holograms, in which an object point of an object of the scene to be reconstructed by the hologram is encoded in each case. The spatial light modulation device is illuminated with substantially coherent light by the illumination device in at least one illumination section. An amplitude distribution and a phase distribution for representing the scene and amplitude values and phase values derived therefrom are determined for encoding the spatial light modulation device. The amplitude of the light incident on the spatial light modulation device in the respective illumination section is set based on at least one parameter at least determined from the amplitude values in this illumination section.
