Unitary carrier for holographic components
A holographic sight comprises a unitary optical component carrier. The unitary optical component carrier may comprise a body with a first receptacle configured to receive a laser diode, a second receptacle configured to receive a mirror, a third receptacle configured to receive a collimating optic, a fourth receptacle configured to receive a grating, and a fifth receptacle configured to receive an image hologram. A laser diode may be received within opposing walls formed by the first receptacle. A mirror may be received in, and abut one or more surfaces of the second receptacle. A collimating optic may be received in, and abut one or more surfaces of the third receptacle. A grating may be received in, and abut one or more surfaces of the fourth receptacle. A hologram image may be received in, and abut one or more surfaces of the fifth receptacle.

A holographic security or identification device (10) comprises an object, or a flexible substrate (12) configured to be conformable to a desired, curved shape; and a plurality of structures (14) formed on or in the object to have a desired curved configuration, or formed in or associated with the substrate and arranged to adopt a desired curved configuration when the substrate is conformed to a desired shape, wherein the plurality of structures (14) are configured to receive light (20) of a selected at least one wavelength or range of wavelengths and to produce, using the received light, a desired holographic image (22) for security or identification purposes when in the desired configuration.

Directly printable image recording material and preparation method thereof
The present invention belongs to the field of functional materials, and particularly relates to a directly printable image recording material, a preparation method and application thereof. The image recording material comprises 25 to 78.8 parts by mass of a photopolymerizable monomer, 0.2 to 5 parts by mass of a photoinitiator, 20 to 70 parts by mass of an inert component, and 0.05 to 2 parts by mass of a thermal polymerization inhibitor, and has an initial viscosity of 200 to 800 mPa.Math.s. The photopolymerizable monomer includes a thiol monomer and an olefin monomer, at least one of which is a silicon-based monomer with polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane as a silicon core. By introducing a POSS-based thiol or olefin monomer into the photopolymerizable monomer in combination with other material components, the recording material is allowed to have an initial viscosity of 200 to 800 mPa.Math.s, and meanwhile, the low thermal conductivity characteristic of the POSS-based photopolymerizable monomer is utilized, so that image storage quality is ensured, continuous industrial production of the image recording material is achieved, the process cost is reduced and the production efficiency is improved.

The method includes coupling the first optical element with at least a first portion of the first flexible membrane and coupling, with the first flexible membrane, the first optical element to a curved surface of a substrate.

The first optical element is a geometric phase optical element or a polarization volume hologram optical element. The second optical element surface of the first optical element is coupled with at least a first portion of the first membrane surface of the first flexible membrane. The method also includes coupling the first optical element with the first flexible membrane attached thereto to a target substrate. Also disclosed is an optical assembly comprising the first optical element and the first flexible membrane.
