The frame is pivotably connected to the base for rotation about a second axis between an extended and a retracted position. The frame form a two-axis gimbal supporting the case. The gimbal coupling mechanism operably couples the frame and the case whereby rotation of the frame from the retracted position to the extended position then back to the retracted position rotates the case about the first axis to facilitate flipping of the case so as to selectively hide or show the time display.

The present disclosure provides a reversible watch with a secure and convenient flipping mechanism that facilitates quick and easy switching between two different watch faces. The mechanism comprises a timepiece block resting in and coupled to an outer frame by a pair of pivot joints about which it can rotate, and a set of ball bearings and corresponding indents that secure the timepiece to the frame when the time displays are aligned with the frame. The time displays are also separately controllable, allowing for users to conveniently switch between any two relative times.
