A mechanical timepiece includes: a hairspring; a permanent magnet; a soft magnetic core; a control circuit for performing rate adjustment based on a counter-electromotive voltage caused in a coil by a motion of the permanent magnet accompanying a forward direction motion and a reverse direction motion of the balance wheel. The permanent magnet is arranged so that, under a state in which the hairspring is brought to an equilibrium length, a direction of magnetization is directed to the first end portion side or the second end portion side.

Mechanical Watch
A mechanical watch includes a balance, an oscillation circuit configured to output a clock signal, a vibration detection unit configured to detect a vibration of the balance and output a vibration detection signal, a speed governing unit including a permanent magnet and a coil, a speed governing control unit, a storage unit configured to store an electrical energy, and a generator. One of the permanent magnet and the coil is held by the balance. The speed governing control unit compares the clock signal and the vibration detection signal and performs the speed governing control of the balance by exerting an electromagnetic force on the permanent magnet, the electromagnetic force being generated by outputting a current to the coil. When a stored energy amount is equal to or smaller than a predetermined value, the speed governing control unit switches a state to a stop state where the speed governing control of the balance is stopped.
Magnetic and/or electrostatic pivot
A method for orienting a timepiece component including ferromagnetic material, where, on both ends of this component, two magnetic fields each attract it onto a pole piece, with an unbalance in the intensity of these fields around this component, in order to create a differential in the forces thereon and to press one of these ends onto a contact surface of one of the pole pieces, and to hold the other end at a distance from the other pole piece. A magnetic pivot includes such a component with two ends. It includes a guide device with surfaces of two pole pieces each generating a magnetic field attracting one of these ends, the magnetic forces exerted on the two ends being of different intensity, in order to attract only one end into contact with only one of these pole piece surfaces.

A wearable object (42) including an electronic unit and a power supply unit formed by an electromechanical converter (6A) which includes a rotor (44) carrying first magnets (10A), a mechanical resonator (12A) provided with an inertia mass (46) capable of oscillating at a relatively high resonant frequency and carrying second magnets (20), and coils arranged so that, when the mechanical resonator is oscillating, an induced voltage is generated in these coils. The electromechanical converter is arranged so that the first magnets and the second magnets can, during a rotational drive of the rotor, interact magnetically so as to apply to the inertia mass, momentarily or temporarily, a magnetic force torque allowing to excite the mechanical resonator, in order to generate at least one oscillation of this mechanical resonator at its resonant frequency in order to generate a relatively high induced voltage allowing to recharge an accumulator.
