WEARABLE DEVICE CONTROL METHOD AND APPARATUS, ELECTRONIC DEVICE, AND READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
20220391004 · 2022-12-08 ·

Provided are a control and apparatus for a wearable device, an electronic device, and a computer-readable storage medium. The wearable device has a first operation mode and a second operation mode. The first operation mode is a mode for running a first system and a second system. The second operation mode is a mode for running only the second system. The first operation mode has a higher power consumption than the second operation mode. The control method includes: obtaining user behavior data (102), determining a user behavior status based on the user behavior data (104), and switching, in response to detecting that the user behavior status is a sleep status, the wearable device from the first operation mode to the second operation mode (106).

WATCH BAND WITH FIT DETECTION

Characteristics of a watch band can change when placed in different configurations, and each of these characteristics can be correlated with each of the various configurations. The characteristics can be measured to detect in which of the various configurations the watch band is in. For example, the watch band can include an adjustable capacitor that changes it capacitance when the watch band changes its configuration. For example, the capacitance can change based on stretching of the watch band, bending of the watch band, and/or securement and release of an engagement element. The watch or another device can perform one or more operations based on the detected characteristic and configuration of the watch band.

An information processing apparatus includes a processor that periodically acquires output values from a sensor in a state where the sensor is worn adjacent to a body of a user via a wearable device, derives amplitude parameters representing amplitudes of a plurality of output values among the output values acquired from the sensor, the plurality of output values having been acquired at a plurality of different timings within a preset determination period, counts the number of amplitude parameters that are larger than a criterial value, among the derived amplitude parameters each representing a respective one of a plurality of amplitudes generated at different timings, the number being defined as an amplitude count for determination, and determines whether the wearable device is properly worn on the body of the user based on the amplitude count for determination.

An electronic watch includes a power source, an electrostatic motor including a rotor in which a plurality of electret films are arranged in a rotational direction and a plurality of fixed electrodes arranged in the rotational direction at positions facing the rotor, a hand rotating in conjunction with the rotation of the rotor, and a motor control circuit controlling the electrostatic motor. The motor control circuit selectively executes a hand movement mode for rotating the hand and a stop mode for keeping the hand stationary. In the stop mode, the motor control circuit keeps the rotor stationary through electrostatic forces exerted on the electret films from the fixed electrodes with the polarities of the fixed electrodes maintained.

Method and circuit for switching a wristwatch from a first power mode to a second power mode

An electronic wristwatch operable in two power modes. The wristwatch has an inertial sensor for detecting a gesture on a cover glass of the wristwatch. A touch panel is provided underneath the cover glass for detecting the gesture. Gesture detection by the inertial sensor is combined with gesture detection by the touch panel for triggering a switch from a first power mode to a second power mode.

An electronic device comprises a body and a band being able to attach the body to a part of a human body. The body comprises first and second detectors and at least one processor. The first detector detects illuminance on an upper surface of the body. The second detector is located in a position distant from a position of the first detector in a short-side direction of the band and detects the illuminance on the upper surface of the body. The at least one processor executes predetermined processing if the at least one processor determines that at least one of first illuminance detected by the first detector and second illuminance detected by the second detector changes.

Adaptive watch

A watch or other type of portable electronic console that employs a number of different functions in order to improve its usability. The watch may, for example, allow a user to connect the watch to one or more remote electronic devices, such as an electronic performance sensor or MP3 player. The watch then displays information related to the connected electronic devices. Still further, the watch may allow a user to control the operation of one or more connected remote electronic devices. Thus, if the watch is connected to a remote speed/distance monitor employing a calibration variable, then the watch may allow the user to adjust the calibration variable.
