SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATED LOW-SPEED POSITIONING OF A CAN NECKING MACHINE
A system for performing necking operations on a can body includes a necker machine and a positioning system. The necker machine includes a frame; a processing arrangement having a plurality of components movable relative to the frame for performing the necking operations on the can body, and a drive motor having a shaft operatively coupled to the processing arrangement for moving the processing arrangement relative to the frame. The positioning system includes: an encoder associated with the drive motor for monitoring a rotational displacement of the shaft and a controller in communication with the encoder and the drive motor. The controller is structured and programmed to: receive an input from a user, the input being indicative of a desired movement of the processing arrangement relative to the frame, and to operate the drive motor using feedback from the encoder such that the desired movement of the processing arrangement is achieved.
Use of a display of a converter, method for operating a converter, and converter
In the use of a display of a converter, method for operating a converter, and converter, the converter having an address code switch, in particular on its housing, and in an actuation of the address code switch and during a subsequent, predefined period of time, a respective value corresponding to the respective switch position of the address code switch is displayed by the display. Operating information of the converter is displayed in all other cases.
HIGH-EFFICIENCY DOWNHOLE WIRELESS COMMUNICATION
A communication system for use with a well tool can include an of outer toroid antenna. The outer toroid antenna can be positionable around an outer housing of the well tool. The communication system can also include an inner toroid antenna positionable within the outer housing of the well tool. The communication system can further include a switch coupled to the outer toroid antenna and the inner toroid antenna. The switch can be operable to enable or disable a wireless communication via the outer toroid antenna or the inner toroid antenna.
Programmable motor and household appliance having same
Provided are a programmable motor and a household appliance having the same. The programmable motor comprises a main body (21) and a driving device (22) comprising a reprogramming interface. When performing reprogramming on the programmable motor, the reprogramming interface communicates with a programming device to receive a motor parameter or a motor software program, to transmit the same to the driving device (22), and to update the motor parameter or the motor software program in the driving device (22). The method realizes rewriting of a motor software program and realizes reprogramming of a motor by directly inserting a programming device into a reprogramming interface of a driving device (22) without having to disassemble the driving device (22), thereby effectively reducing post-sale costs associated with a motor, and improving post-sale efficiency associated with the motor.
Apparatus and method for controlling injection molding
An apparatus and method for establishing triggers for the opening of one or multiple gates to a mold cavity of an injection molding system, followed by a sequence of predetermined valve pin movements over the course on an injection cycle. In one embodiment, the invention provides a graphical user interface and control system enabling a user to select from and arrange a plurality of virtual icons into a user-defined virtual sequence that define associated triggering events and actuator controlled pin movements over the course of an injection cycle. In various embodiments, the apparatus and method allows the system operator to view a simulated profile of such triggers and movements and to compare the simulated profile to an actual profile to access differences and make adjustments to the triggers and sequencing more quickly and efficiently. This is particularly useful in sequential molding systems where multiple gates need to be programmed and adjusted to compensate for variations from a predetermined sequence.

Method and system for configuring a switch cabinet
A configuration system for reconfiguring a switch cabinet includes a detection unit—which detects functional units of an electric circuit, which are mounted within a switch cabinet, by way of characteristic features of the functional units, which have unambiguous identification features which are read out by the detection unit. A configuration unit contains a processor, which determines an electric circuit diagram of the electric circuit on the basis of the functional units of the electric circuit which are detected by way of the characteristic features and automatically replaces the detected functional units of the determined circuit diagram with associated replacement functional units which are stored in a database. An output unit is provided for outputting the determined replacement functional units.
