Failsafe Automation System
An input system and failsafe automation system, wherein the failsafe automation system includes a motion controller connected to multiple failsafe processors that are each respectively associated with a safety level, and wherein the motion controller includes at least one associated drive, where the respective drive is respectively associated with areas and each respective area has an associated safety level that indicates the level of (fail)safety level with which the respective area needs to be established such that the failsafe automation system allows individual areas in spaces such as production halls to be easily equipped with the necessary (fail)safety level.
PLC device and control device

TEST PULSE WIDTH CALCULATION DEVICE, CONTROL DEVICE, TEST PULSE WIDTH CALCULATION METHOD, AND PROGRAM
An input/output unit is a test pulse width calculation device for calculating a time width of a test pulse for use in a failure diagnosis test of a PLC. The input/output unit includes a memory that stores a threshold for detection of noise superposed on a signal to be input to an input circuit of the PLC, and a processor. The processor includes a voltage value acquirer and a test pulse width calculator. The voltage value acquirer acquires a measurement value of voltage in an input path of the signal to be input to the input circuit. The test pulse width calculator calculates, based on the measurement value of voltage and the threshold, a reference noise width that is a reference for calculating a test pulse width, and calculates the test pulse width that is larger than the calculated reference noise width.
Safety control unit, safety control method, and safety control program
A safety control unit includes: a memory; a computation control part; and an input and output unit for connecting the computation control part to a safety input device and an output device to be safely controlled. A system program includes a data refresh program for executing a data refresh of safety control data of the safety input device and the output device and the control data of the memory via the input and output unit. If the computation control part receives a change of a control program, the computation control part stops executing the control program. The computation control part executes the change of the control program while executing a part of the system program including the data refresh. The computation control part resumes executing the control program.

SAFETY CONTROL UNIT, SAFETY CONTROL METHOD, AND SAFETY CONTROL PROGRAM
A safety control unit includes: a memory; a computation control part; and an input and output unit for connecting the computation control part to a safety input device and an output device to be safely controlled. A system program includes a data refresh program for executing a data refresh of safety control data of the safety input device and the output device and the control data of the memory via the input and output unit. If the computation control part receives a change of a control program, the computation control part stops executing the control program. The computation control part executes the change of the control program while executing a part of the system program including the data refresh. The computation control part resumes executing the control program.
Programmable controller
A programmable controller includes forward switching units and backward switching units. The forward switching units electrically disconnect forward communication wirings if a module is mounted on a slot connector, and electrically short-circuits the forward communication wirings if no module is mounted on the slot connector. The backward switching units electrically disconnect backward communication wirings if the module is mounted on the slot connector, and electrically short-circuits the backward communication wirings if no module is mounted on the slot connector.
PROGRAMMABLE CONTROLLER
A programmable controller includes forward switching units and backward switching units. The forward switching units electrically disconnect forward communication wirings if a module is mounted on a slot connector, and electrically short-circuits the forward communication wirings if no module is mounted on the slot connector.
