CONSTANT INPUT RESISTANCE FOR REDUNDANT INPUT MODULES EMPLOYED IN HIGH AVAILABILITY SYSTEMS
A system includes a control device that coordinates within the system to control one or more operations of industrial automation equipment. The system also includes a terminal base that couples to the control device, wherein the terminal base includes a circuit. The system further includes a first input module and a second input module that couple to the terminal base. The first input module includes a first resistor and a first measuring device, and the second input module includes a second resistor and a second measuring device. The terminal base electrically couples the first resistor to the circuit and electrically isolates the second resistor from the circuit when the first input module and the second input module are coupled to the terminal block.
Control of multiple energy storages in a microgrid
A method performed by a network controller of an electrical microgrid having a plurality of energy storages. Each of the energy storages is associated with a respective storage controller. The method includes receiving information about a measurement made at a remote location in the microgrid. The method also includes obtaining respective participation factors in respect of the remote location for each of at least a first energy storage and a second energy storage of the plurality of energy storages. The method also includes obtaining respective states of charge for each of the at least first and second energy storages. The method also includes, for each of the at least first and second energy storages, calculating a reference value for the energy storage, and sending the reference value to the storage controller with which the energy storage is associated. The calculating includes calculating the reference value based on the obtained participation factors and the obtained states of charge.

Automated retrofit installation tool for replacement of one or more pre-existing dedicated input/output (I/O) modules and terminal boards with one or more universal I/O modules
Described are systems, methods and computer-program product for replacing a prior input/output (I/O) module and terminal board with a universal I/O device by providing software based instructions and configuration settings for the installer. The method includes provisions for new wiring changes or harnesses as well as preset adapters, converting prior device configuration settings from an I/O module, pack, and/or terminal board to new configuration settings for a programmable I/O device, generating a wiring chart for any wiring changes based on the settings, and displaying the information for the installer and/or programmer's use. This allows a universal I/O device capable of each channel having different operating modes to replace one or more of a mixture of several types of dedicated I/O modules. The installation documentation and configurations are automatically generated, reducing the chance of errors due to misinterpretation of multiple product documents while allowing the automatic transfer of product settings.
INTERFACE-CONTROL DEVICE AND RELATED METHOD
The present disclosure provides device and method for interface-control. The interface-control device includes: a control module having a controller and a first interface coupled to the controller, and a sensor module having a sensor circuit and a second interface coupled to the sensor circuit, the first interface and the second interface being connected through a matching connection. The first interface and the second interface each includes a first function pin for transferring first data reflecting a sensor type of the sensor circuit from the sensor circuit to the controller. The controller determines the sensor type of the sensor circuit based on the first data and processes measured data from the sensor circuit based on the sensor type.
