A control system for factory automation includes a first unit and a second unit each including a timer, a data line over which data containing a timer value indicated by the timer is exchanged between the first unit and the second unit, a signal line that electrically connects the first unit and the second unit, and an adjustment module connected to the signal line and the data line. The adjustment module acquires, when receiving a trigger signal over the signal line, the timer value over the data line and matches the timer of the second unit with the timer of the first unit based on the timer value acquired.

A plant management system includes: a control device; and a management device. The control device includes: a manipulation parameter setting unit that sets values of manipulation parameters; a state parameter acquisition unit that acquires values of state parameters indicating an operating condition of the plant; and a transmitter that transmits these values to the management device. The management device includes: an acquisition unit that acquires these values; a database that stores set values of manipulation parameters and actually measured values or predicted values of state parameters when the plant is operated based on the set values, corresponding to each other; and a determination unit that determines a set value of a manipulation parameter capable of improving a value of a predetermined state parameter of the plant by referring to these values and the database.

A data acquisition system for dielectric analysis measurements, including a sensor interface configured to connect to one or more sensors located within an active machining zone of an industrial manufacturing machine, a module processor coupled to the sensor interface and configured to receive measurement values from one or more sensors connected to the sensor interface, a cloud interface coupled to the module processor, and a machine interface coupled to the module processor. The measurement values indicate physical properties of workpieces processed in the active machining zone of an industrial manufacturing machine. The cloud interface is configured to connect to cloud-based resources, and the machine interface is configured to connect to a controller of the industrial manufacturing machine. The module processor is configured to transmit the received measurement values from the one or more dielectric sensors to cloud-based resources via the cloud interface and to transmit manufacturing control signals to the controller of the industrial manufacturing machine via the machine interface, the manufacturing control signals being based on parameters received from cloud-based resources via the cloud interface.

An AAMP system includes a plurality of AAMP system stations disposed in an environment and configured to perform one or more AAMP processing routines, and a plurality of robots configured to autonomously travel within the environment, where one or more robots from among the plurality of robots include an auxiliary AAMP processing station configured to perform one or more auxiliary AAMP processing routines. The AAMP system includes a controller configured to select an AAMP system station from among the plurality of AAMP system stations to perform the one or more AAMP processing routines based on AAMP system operation data and select a robot from among the plurality of robots to initiate the one or more AAMP processing routines at the selected AAMP system station based on a digital model of the environment and robot operation data, where the robot operation data includes an auxiliary processing state.
System and method for constructing process plans for hybrid manufacturing with the aid of a digital computer
A systematic approach to constructing process plans for hybrid manufacturing is provided. The process plans include arbitrary combinations of AM and SM processes. Unlike the suboptimal conventional practice, the sequence of AM and SM modalities is not fixed beforehand. Rather, all potentially viable process plans to fabricate a desired target part from arbitrary alternating sequences of pre-defined AM and SM modalities are explored in a systematic fashion. Once the state space of all process plans has been enumerated in terms of a partially ordered set of states, advanced artificial intelligence (AI) planning techniques are utilized to rapidly explore the state space, eliminate invalid process plans, for instance, process plans that make no physical sense, and optimize among the valid process plans using a cost function, for instance, manufacturing time and material or process costs.
Ability to have multiple versions of a process element in a process plant simultaneously
Multiple versions of a process element in a process plant may run at the same time in different sub-systems of the plant such as configuration system, display system, and run time system. The ability to run multiple versions of process elements allows for more flexibility in production and reduces the time and costs in changes in product production. It is now possible to reduce auditing costs by performing an audit only on differences between versions instead of the entire process element.

A control device includes a program execution module, a communication unit, and a collection module connected to the communication unit. The program execution module generates control instructions for a control target in accordance with a user program that is freely created. The communication unit transmits and/or receives communication data to and/or from an external device through a network. The collection module collects data satisfying a filtering condition from among the communication data that is transferred on the network. The collection module changes the filtering condition in accordance with an instruction included in the user program.
