An object is to reduce the risk of outflow of defects and improve the work efficiency of assembly work. An assembly system 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention is used to assemble a finished product while sequentially placing and fixing multiple types of components to a workpiece. The assembly system 10 includes a collaborative robot 20 configured to collaborate with a worker 100, an identification information reading unit 27 configured to read identification information indicated on a component placed on the workpiece, and a controller 70 configured to determine whether a type of the component placed on the workpiece is correct or incorrect based on the read identification information and control the collaborative robot in accordance with a result of the correctness determination.
HARNESS ASSEMBLY LINE BALANCING
This application discloses a computing system implementing a line balancing tool to generate a structured bill of materials for a wire harness based on a harness design and available fabrication processes. The computing system can decompose the structured bill of materials into tasks and assign the tasks to workstations in a production line configured to manufacture the wire harness. The computing system can determine dependencies between a plurality of the tasks and verify the tasks assigned to the workstation conform to the dependencies between the plurality of the tasks. The dependencies can indicate an order for performance of the operations associated with the tasks. The computing system can identify unassigned tasks capable of assignment to one or more of the workstations and determine which of the workstations the unassigned assembly tasks, if assigned, would conform with the dependencies between the plurality of the assembly tasks.

The cell control apparatus commands the manufacturing cell having delay in operation to stop at least a part of operations in the transferable operation and commands the manufacturing cell having the operation time to spare to perform the at least the part of the operations.

The manufacturing matrix can include a plurality of robotic arms disposed in the plurality of work cells to produce a construction product.
