This setting code generating device is provided with: an identification information output unit for outputting, to a display, identification information relating to an industrial machine, including machine information relating to the industrial machine and state information relating to the state of the industrial machine; a setting code generating unit for generating a setting code obtained by encoding the identification information output by the identification information output unit, on the basis of an instruction received by way of an operating unit; and a setting code output unit for outputting the setting code generated by the setting code generating unit.
Contextual analytics mapping
A computing system for receiving operational data including process parameters generated by sensors in a plant. An analysis engine uses the operational data to automatically provide a first listing of worst performing process parameters, that when a selected poor performing process parameter is chosen generates a ranked filtered view of equipment parameters for associated processing equipment that may be affected by the selected poor performing parameter and a filtered view of recommendations for recognizing action(s) to fix the associated processing equipment and/or the selected poor performing process parameter, and/or a second listing of worst performing processing equipment that when a selected poor performing processing equipment is chosen generates a ranked filtered view of suspected process parameters that may be affected by the selected poor performing processing equipment along with a filtered view of recommendations for recognizing action(s) to fix the selected poor performing processing equipment and the suspected process parameters.
DATA COLLECTION SYSTEM FOR INDUSTRIAL MACHINE, DATA COLLECTION METHOD FOR INDUSTRIAL MACHINE, AND INFORMATION STORAGE MEDIUM
A data collection system for an industrial machine, the data collection system comprising circuitry configured to: collect collection data relating to the industrial machine based on a predetermined collection setting; identify the predetermined collection setting based on identification information associated with the collection data; and execute parse processing relating to the collection data based on the identified predetermined collection setting.
Method for inspecting products in a manufacturing process
The present disclosure relates to systems and processes for detecting and rejecting defective absorbent articles from a converting line. In particular, the systems and methods may utilize feedback from technologies, such as vision systems, sensors, remote input and output stations, and controllers with synchronized embedded clocks to accurately correlate inspection results and measurements from an absorbent article converting process. As such, the systems and methods may accurately apply the use of precision clock synchronization for both instrumentation and control system devices on a non-deterministic communications network. In turn, the clock synchronized control and instrumentation network may be used to control a reject system on converters of absorbent articles. In some embodiments, the controller will reject only defective absorbent articles without the need to reject non-defective absorbent articles.
Data collection device
A data collection device capable of reducing the load of a data collection process and network communication by monitoring trigger at a plurality of cycles is provided. The data collection device includes a control unit, and the control unit includes: an event monitoring unit that acquires first trigger information from the machine tool at a first cycle and monitors whether a starting condition and an ending condition for acquisition of the data have been established on the basis of the first trigger information; a sampling control unit that instructs the machine tool to sample the data at a second cycle shorter than the first cycle when the starting condition is established and instructs the machine tool to end the sampling when the ending condition is established; and a data acquisition unit that acquires the data sampled by the machine tool from the machine tool together with second trigger information.
Methods for data acquisition systems in real time applications
A system may include a data acquisition hardware device (DAQ) for acquiring sample data and/or generating control signals, and a host system with memory that may store data samples and information associated with the DAQ and host system operations. The DAQ may push hardware status information to host memory, triggered by predetermined events taking place in the DAQ, e.g. timing events or interrupts. The DAQ may update dedicated buffers in host memory with status data for any of these events. The pushed status information may be read in a manner that allows detection of race conditions, and may be used to handle data acquisition, output control signaling, and interrupts as required without the host system having to query the DAQ. The DAQ may also detect data timing errors and report those data timing errors back to the host system, and also provide improved output operations using counters.

System and method for automatic configuration of a data collection system and schedule for control system monitoring
A method includes discovering one or more assets associated with a system. The method also includes determining first data that could be collected from each of the one or more assets by cross-referencing the one or more assets with a collection model. The method further includes determining second data that is to be collected from each of the one or more assets by cross-referencing the first data with requirements of one or more applications that use data from the one or more assets. In addition, the method includes automatically generating a schedule for collection of the second data from the one or more assets.
Slicing and merging production events
The example embodiments are directed to a system and method for analyzing different production events as a group by modeling the production events as intervals of time. In one example, the method includes modeling a plurality of production processes as a plurality of intervals of time which are overlapping one another on a graph over a predetermined period of time, each modeled production process including a sequence of events over time, determining a slice of time on the graph within the predetermined period of time based on event timings within the plurality of production process, identifying an event that is occurring in each production process during the slice of time based on the overlapping plurality of intervals of time, and storing the identified events of each production process together as a group along with an identification of the slice of time.
