Machinery conversion pivot opportunity identification

In an approach for identifying machinery conversion pivot opportunities utilizing a crowdsourced database, a processor receives machinery information for machinery of a user. A processor identifies a plurality of alternative uses for the machinery from a public cloud database based on the machinery information. A processor ranks the plurality of alternative uses for the machinery based on a set of factors. A processor sends the ranked plurality of alternative uses for the machinery to the user.

Process control method with integrated database for electronically documenting the configuration, modification and operation of a controlled process

A process control method that automatically and comprehensively manages the creation, storage and use of electronic records during the operation of a controlled process and for governing and documenting the users that operate the computer systems that are involved in the creation, storage and use of the electronic records. The method controls a process, such as a chemical process, by receiving measurement information relating to the process, applying rules to the received measurement information to determine a desired response, and sending control information to at least one device associated with the process, so as to modify the process. The method maintains the rules, measurements and control activity in transaction logs or audit trails related thereto in a secure database. By providing convenient, centralized control of the process within a secure database, the method enhances compliance with the FDA regulations that permit electronic records to be regarded as the equivalent to paper records under 21 CFR Part 11.

ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT

Techniques are described for electrical equipment management. Embodiments include receiving and validating a login request from a user. Receiving a selection of an order of an electrical equipment system to assemble and, in response, retrieving and providing a plurality of instructions. Performing an iterative assembly process to manage the assembly of the electrical equipment system by the user, wherein the iterative assembly process comprises iterating through the plurality of instructions for assembling the electrical equipment. Recording digital artifacts of the electrical equipment system during performance of the plurality instructions as part of the iterative assembly process and upon determining that compliance has been achieved for the assembled electrical equipment system based on the recorded digital artifacts satisfying a predefined compliance standard, record a final assembly report for the electrical equipment system. Embodiments include storing the final assembly report together with a unique identifier corresponding to the assembled electrical equipment system.

A production line management system that registers and manages distribution data for each of a plurality of production lines, and thus, manages work data in a unitary manner. The management system being constructed to manage production in a plurality of the production lines with a small amount of data and to simplify a system configuration. In particular, the distribution data is created by an identifier added to work data.

Integrated alarm management system (ALMS) KPIs with plant information system

An improved alarm management system (ALMS) is described. In an embodiment, the improved alarm management system is configured to include a control system connected to multiple field devices in communication with an alarm management analysis system. The alarm management analysis system and control system can further be configured to communicate with the PI interface of a plant network. In a further embodiment, data from multiple ALMS can be aggregated offsite, processed, and configured to be displayed to offsite personnel.

Sustaining a fleet of configuration-controlled assets

Methods, systems, and computer program products sustain a fleet of configuration-controlled assets. The method involves integrating a plurality of previously separate systems with reusable business transactions associated with managing a fleet of vehicles. The method also involves receiving operational data associated with a vehicle of the fleet, integrating the operational data per customer requirements, packaging and distributing the operational data to the plurality of systems, and installing and distributing the operational data to one or more applications of the plurality of systems utilizing reusable business transactions. The system utilizes a plurality of applications and a plurality of logical subsystems, which are connected to each other through gateways. The logical subsystems use a common format defined by a set of messages. However, the applications can use a plurality of different formats. The gateways, which are the connecting blocks, convert the data flow between the logical subsystems and the applications.

MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, MANAGEMENT METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM

A management system includes: a position sensor that obtains a positional relationship between itself and an object; a floor map generator that generates a floor map based on the position relationship; a self position calculator that calculates a self position; a marker identifier that identifies a marker; an asset information obtainer that obtains asset information related to an asset to which the marker is attached; an asset position calculator that calculates a position of the asset on the floor map based on the positional relationship, the self position, and a relative position of the marker; a database in which the floor map, the asset information, and the position information of the asset are associated with each other; and an asset management map generator that generates an asset management map based on the database.

Dynamic user interface for configuring and managing a process control system

A process control management method in a computer system for configuring and supervising a process plant includes providing an interactive user interface to manage a plurality of objects in the process plant, where each of the plurality of objects corresponds to a physical or logical entity in the process plant, including generating a navigation pane to display a set of selectable items, each in the set of selectable items corresponding to a respective one of the plurality of objects, and generating a command pane to display a set of selectable controls, each in the set of selectable controls corresponding to a task to be performed on at least one of the plurality of objects in the process plant; receiving a selection of one of an item in the set of selectable items via the navigation panel and a control in the set of selectable controls via the command panel; determining an operational context based on the received selection, wherein the operational context corresponds to one of a range of actions applicable to the selection if the selection is an item selection, or a range of items to which the selection is applicable if the selection is a control selection; and adjusting one of the navigation pane or the command pane according to the operational context, including displaying a subset of selectable items in the navigational pane, wherein each in the subset of selectable items is within the range applicable to the selection, if the selection is a control selection, and displaying a subset of selectable controls in the command pane, wherein each in the subset of selectable controls is within the range applicable to the selection, if the selection is an item selection.

A system integrates an asset design system with an asset operation system. The system maps a first asset design created in the asset design system, to the asset operation system. Using a design analyzer that interfaces with an operational assets database, the system maps the first asset design to a first operational model in the operational assets database in the asset operation system. The system uses predictive analytics techniques to map the first asset design to the first operational model. The system maps a second operation model to the asset design system. Using an operation analyzer that interfaces with a maintenance history database in the asset operation system, the system maps the second operation model to a second asset design in the asset design system. The system provides suggested design changes to the second asset design based on data in the maintenance history database.
