Identification number setting system, identification number setting method, and robot system
An identification number setting system includes a first element component including a first storing section, coupled to a first branch communication line branching from a main line of a bus-type communication wire, and coupled to a power supply, a second element component including a second storing section, coupled to a second branch communication line branching from the main line, and coupled to the power supply to be capable of switching energization and disenergization, and a control device coupled to the main line and configured to communicate with the first element component and the second element component. The control device writes a first identification number in the first storing section in a first state and writes a second identification number different from the first identification number in the second storing section after the writing of the first identification number and in a second state.

An input/output system including: an input/output base unit which has a plurality of slots into which input/output modules are pluggable; an evaluation device; and at least one cover element which is arrangeable on one of the plurality of slots of the input/output base unit. The evaluation device detects a presence of the at least one cover element at a slot of the plurality of slots.

A computer-implemented method for setting device identification includes: a main control circuit sending a first identification to a first device coupled to the main control circuit to set the first identification on the first device. The main control circuit sends a second identification to a second device coupled to the main control circuit to set the second identification on the second device. The first identification is different from the second identification when the kind of the first device is the same as that of the second device, and the first identification is the same as or different from the second identification when the kind of the first device is different from that of the second device. A main control circuit and a robot for performing the setting method are also provided.
