METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PROVIDING DATA FROM AN INTERNAL DATA PROCESSING SYSTEM OF AN INDUSTRIAL PLANT TO AN EXTERNAL DATA PROCESSING SYSTEM
Data are sent from an internal data processing system of an industrial plant to an external data processing system of the industrial plant by generating with an industrial edge device data packets from data related to an industrial machine, and generating therefrom signed data packets signed with a first digital signature. While the signed data packet are read, a user-defined data filter is applied, which lets either pass or rejects the signed data packets. The data packets that passed the user-defined data filter are then sent to the external data processing system.
CONTROL AND MONITORING OF A MACHINE ARRANGEMENT
A method for controlling and/or monitoring a machine arrangement having at least one machine, in particular at least one robot, with the aid of a processor arrangement having a plurality of processors each with at least one core. The method includes selecting, in particular temporarily selecting, a first available and at least one further available core on the proviso that these cores are implemented, in particular arranged, on different processors of the processor arrangement, in particular during operation of the machine arrangement and/or on the basis of an updated directory and/or on the basis, in particular as a result, of an ascertained need for redundant processing of process signals; processing process signals redundantly with the aid of these selected cores; and controlling and/or monitoring the machine arrangement on the basis of this processing.
METHOD FOR THE DISTRIBUTED CALCULATION OF COMPUTATIONAL TASKS
The invention relates to a method for the distributed calculation of calculation tasks by means of field devices of an industrial plant, wherein a plurality of field devices are coupled to a task distribution unit by means of a data link, the field devices effect a control of the industrial plant in an operating state in each case, at least one of the field devices receives a calculation task from the task distribution unit in an idle state and changes to a calculation state in which the calculation task is processed.
Systems and methods for balancing loads in an industrial automation system
An industrial control system may receive processing information from at least two control systems associated with at least two components within an industrial automation system. The processing information may include a processing load value for each of the at least two control systems. The industrial control system may then distribute processing loads associated with the at least two control systems when a total processing load between the at least two control systems is unbalanced.
CONTINUOUS-LINE MANUFACTURING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATED MACHINE ALLOCATION
A method for employing a plurality of automated machines to deposit composite material includes a first tool located in a first station and a second tool located in a second station. The first station and the second station are located on a production line. The first station includes at least one automated machine of the plurality of automated machines and the second station includes at least two automated machines of the plurality of automated machines. At least one of the automated machines is movable from the second station to the first station. The method includes monitoring machine capacity and workload requirements of the plurality of automated machines. The method further includes determining an efficiency threshold based upon the machine capacity and workload requirements. The method further includes reallocating at least one of the automated machines from the second station to the first station once the efficiency threshold is met.
CONTROL DEVICE AND DISTRIBUTED PROCESSING METHOD
A control device (1) includes a master-information processing unit (10), and a slave-information processing unit (20) including an information processing CPU (220) that performs information processing through a general-purpose OS, and a distribution control CPU (210) that measures an operating state of the information processing CPU (220) through a real-time OS. The master-information processing unit (10) acquires, from the slave-information processing unit (20), information indicating the operating state of the information processing CPU (220) in the slave-information processing unit (20), determines, based on the acquired information, whether to request the slave-information processing unit (20) to perform information processing, and transmits, when determining to request the slave-information processing unit (20) to perform the information processing, a signal requesting the information processing to the slave-information processing unit (20). The information processing CPU (220) in the slave-information processing unit (20) performs the information processing upon receiving the signal requesting the information processing.

Dynamic allocation of processing tasks for a robot cell
The invention concerns a method, arrangement and computer program product for distributing processing for a first robot in a cell among more than one processing entities. The arrangement includes a processing entity determining unit that obtains data about current limitations in the processing environment of a prospective processing entity intended to perform a processing task for the first robot, determines, based on the processing environment limitations, whether a performance requirement will be fulfilled or not if the task is performed in the prospective processing entity, and assigns the processing task for processing in the prospective processing entity or in at least one other processing entity based on the determining of whether the performance requirement is fulfilled or not.
