Systems, apparatuses, and methods for detecting escalators
Systems and methods for detecting an escalator in a surrounding environment by a robotic apparatus are disclosed herein. According to at least one exemplary embodiment, an escalator may be determined based on an escalator detection parameter being met. The escalator detection parameter my further require detection of two side walls separated by a distance equal to a width of an escalator and detection of a depreciation in a floor equal to that observed between a stationary portion and a moving first step of an escalator.
Device, system, method, and computer product for detecting and evaluating environmental quantities and events with modular approach and variable complexity
A system for detecting and evaluating environmental quantities and events is formed by a detection and evaluation device and a mobile phone, connected through a wireless connection. The device is enclosed in a containment casing housing a support carrying a plurality of inertial sensors and environmental sensors. A processing unit is coupled to the inertial sensors and to the environmental sensors. A wireless connection unit, is coupled to the processing unit and a wired connection port, is coupled to the processing unit. A programming connector is coupled to the processing unit and is configured to couple to an external programming unit to receive programming instructions of the processing unit. A storage structure is coupled to the processing unit and a power-supply unit supplied power in the detection and evaluation device. The mobile phone stores an application, which enables a basicuse mode, an expert use mode, and an advanced use mode.
Method and system for collecting data from a data-source into a MOM data warehouse
A process and a system collect data from a data-source into a manufacturing operation management (MOM) data warehouse. The data in the MOM data-warehouse are exposed according to a basic data model in which a performance parameter is linked to a basic set of context identifiers for MOM analysis purposes. The data in the data source are exposed according to a source data model in which a source performance parameter is linked to a source set of context identifiers. A data extensor module is provided for processing the data received from the data source to add, upon need, a context identifier linked to the source performance parameter. Whereby the added context identifier is present in the basic set but it is not present in the source set. The data extensor module processing data is received from the data source to obtain augmented data stored in the MOM data warehouse.

METHOD OF OPTIMIZING AN INDUSTRIAL PROCESS BASED ON ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
A computer-implemented method of optimizing an industrial process includes comparing current environmental condition data to historic environment condition data for at least one day preceding a specified day. The method also includes determining a visual state from a plurality of visual states for the at least one day based on the comparison between the current environmental condition data and the historic environment condition data. The method further includes generating a calendar interface comprising a plurality of days preceding the specified day and corresponding to a plurality of visual representations. The method further includes generating a graphical user interface comprising historical data for at least one type of industrial process.
System and method for visualizing a carbon footprint
Described herein are methods and systems for visualization of a carbon footprint for one or more real-world objects or events. A server computing device identifies a carbon footprint value for at least one real-world object or event. The server computing device determines an amount of greenhouse gas that corresponds to the carbon footprint value. The server computing device generates instructions for operation of a gas visualization device coupled to the server computing device based upon the amount of greenhouse gas. The server computing device transmits the instructions to the gas visualization device. The gas visualization device executes the instructions to produce an amount of gas (i.e., fog or vapor) based upon the received instructions.
