Automated optical metrology computer aided inspection station and method of operation
An automated 3D Optical Metrology Scanning and Computer Aided Inspection System for dimensional inspection of precision manufactured parts. The system example and implemented configuration is based within a relocatable cabinet providing ambient light and optional temperature control. The cabinet further includes a part placement area having an optical metrology scanner positioned over a multi-axis robotic arm positioned in the part placement area. The robotic arm is constructed and arranged to grip and manipulate parts within a field of view of the optical metrology scanner. The robotic arm provides adequate multi-axis control to rotate and tilt and translate tp manipulate the part to allow substantially every surface of the part to be scanned. Dimensional comparison and analysis software application provide geometric conformance/deviation plus extraction of the dimensions indicated in the part computer aided design (CAD) model.
Machining program generation support device
A machining program generation support device includes: a CAD data analysis unit which analyzes the CAD data of a workpiece so as to obtain CAD shape information; a machining program analysis unit which analyzes a machining program that is in the middle of being produced by an operator so as to obtain machining shape information; a relative position matching unit which performs relative position matching of shapes of the CAD shape information and the machining shape information so as to obtain relative position matching shape information and to determine, based on the relative position matching shape information, whether or not an input error of a position is made by the operator in the machining shape information; and a display unit which displays the machining shape information and which displays a part of the input error of the position and made by the operator in the machining shape information.
MACHINING PROGRAM GENERATION SUPPORT DEVICE
A machining program generation support device includes: a CAD data analysis unit which analyzes the CAD data of a workpiece so as to obtain CAD shape information; a machining program analysis unit which analyzes a machining program that is in the middle of being produced by an operator so as to obtain machining shape information which is in the middle of being produced; a relative position matching unit which performs relative position matching of shapes of the CAD shape information obtained with the CAD data analysis unit and the machining shape information obtained with the machining program analysis unit so as to obtain relative position matching shape information and to determine, based on the relative position matching shape information, whether or not an input error of a position is made by the operator in the machining shape information; and a display unit which displays the machining shape information obtained with the machining program analysis unit and which displays, as an error, a part of the input error of the position determined with the relative position matching unit and made by the operator in the machining shape information.

To hold a long member in the original shape of the long member at a precise position, a long member assembling device has: a plurality of hand parts configured to grip a long member; arm parts and trunk parts configured to move the hand parts to adjust the positions of the plurality of hand parts gripping the long member; a storage unit in which the original shape of the long member is stored; and a control unit configured to, on the basis of the original shape of the long member stored in the storage unit, drive the arm parts and the trunk parts to adjust the positions of the plurality of hand parts gripping the long member such that the shape of the long member gripped by the plurality of hand parts matches the original shape of the long member stored in the storage unit.
ASSEMBLY BODY MANUFACTURING DEVICE AND ASSEMBLY BODY MANUFACTURING METHOD
To hold a long member in the original shape of the long member at a precise position, a long member assembling device has: a plurality of hand parts configured to grip a long member; arm parts and trunk parts configured to move the hand parts to adjust the positions of the plurality of hand parts gripping the long member; a storage unit in which the original shape of the long member is stored; and a control unit configured to, on the basis of the original shape of the long member stored in the storage unit, drive the arm parts and the trunk parts to adjust the positions of the plurality of hand parts gripping the long member such that the shape of the long member gripped by the plurality of hand parts matches the original shape of the long member stored in the storage unit.
