This waveform display device comprises: a positional information acquisition unit that acquires, from a control device that controls a machine tool, motor positional information for a drive shaft of the machine tool during workpiece machining; a shaft information setting unit that sets shaft information indicating the shaft configuration of the drive shaft of the machine tool; a tool trajectory display unit that calculates the trajectory of a tool tip point during workpiece machining by a tool mounted on the machine tool on the basis of the motor positional information and the shaft information and displays the trajectory as a waveform; an analysis target setting unit that sets an analysis target position relating to the trajectory of the tool tip point; an analysis target range generation unit that generates and displays an analysis target range containing a solid body including the set analysis target position; and a measurement point sorting unit that sorts out and displays a measurement point included in the analysis target range generated by the analysis target range generation unit from within the trajectory of the tool tip point.

The present invention is a display device 1 that comprises: a trajectory error calculation unit 13 that, on the basis of a movement trajectory of a tool based on actual positions and a movement trajectory of the tool based on command positions, calculates time-sequence data of trajectory errors of the tool; an amplitude calculation unit 14 that calculates the amplitudes of frequency components by frequency analysis of the time-series data of the trajectory errors of the tool; a vibration detection unit 15 that detects a frequency component for which the amplitude of the frequency component exceeds a prescribed threshold value and detects a position corresponding to the detected frequency component as a vibration site; a vibration axis determination unit 16 that, by frequency analysis of time-sequence data of position deviations or torque commands of axes within a time range corresponding to the detected frequency component, determines an axis for which the amplitude of the frequency component identical to the detected frequency component is greatest to be a vibration axis; and a display unit 17 that displays the detected vibration site on the movement trajectory and displays the axis determined to be the vibration axis.
